eBay Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of the global marketplace leader eBay, operates Qoo10, a rapidly growing shopping mall popular among Gen Z, focusing on beauty and fashion. As a new pillar of its growth strategy, eBay Japan is opening its first offline flagship store. This store is not just a sales venue but a strategic hub to create a seamless Online Merges with Offline (OMO) customer experience, allowing customers to experience the Qoo10 world in real life. The Store Operations Manager will oversee the operation of this Qoo10 flagship store, responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets by providing an optimal in-store customer experience for popular Korean cosmetics and beauty products.

Position Overview

The Store Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Qoo10 flagship store, aiming to improve customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets. This role involves managing all aspects of store operations to provide an optimal in-store customer experience for popular Korean cosmetics and beauty products, which are primarily sold online.

Job Responsibilities

Store Operations Management

  • Overall management of daily and monthly store operations
  • Planning and execution of measures to set and achieve sales targets
  • Management of store environment and service quality to improve customer satisfaction
  • Optimization of store layout and VMD (Visual Merchandising)

Staff Management

  • Recruitment, training, and evaluation of sales staff
  • Shift management and attendance management
  • Planning and implementation of training to improve product knowledge and customer service skills
  • Staff motivation management and retention improvement

Product and Inventory Management

  • Analysis of best-selling products and order management
  • Optimization of product display and merchandising
  • Improvement of inventory turnover rate and reduction of loss rate
  • Proposal of product mix according to season and trends

Customer Service and CRM

  • Special handling for VIP and repeat customers
  • Responding to customer requests and complaints
  • Utilizing customer data in conjunction with online members
  • Planning and execution of in-store events and campaigns to promote visits

Omnichannel Integration

  • In-store pickup support for online orders
  • Measures to drive customers from physical stores to online
  • Real-time inventory information linkage
  • Cooperation with online initiatives such as live commerce

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of store manager experience in the retail industry
  • Sales experience in the beauty, cosmetics, or fashion industry
