Job Summary
This role leads global supply assurance processes for North America, Mexico EMS, playing a key leadership role in creating and adhering to global supply assurance processes. The position establishes procedures to ensure customer satisfaction, quality, and timely delivery, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include reducing shortages through lead time reduction, buffer stock strategies, and contractual agreements, requiring end-to-end materials management experience to influence the supply chain.
Must Have
- Lead and participate in Supply Assurance reviews with Category Managers and Executive teams.
- Communicate upward effectively.
- Lead without direct control, but through influence and respect.
- Diagnose supply systematic failures and construct solutions across the organization.
- Create linkage from shortage root cause and corrective action to long term preventive actions.
- Understand key supply commodities and products impacting businesses and customers.
- Drive each gating item to resolution with Purchasing, Category, Suppliers, Engineering, and Exec teams.
- Look at all possible options to resolve shortages, including distribution, alternative suppliers, expedited freight.
- Understand current Lead-Times and drive to reduce them.
- Work with Business Teams to understand both short and long-term forecasts and the communication to the teams.
- Participate in driving potential alternate suppliers.
- Understand key shortages impacting customers.
- Drive overall shortage Metrics.
- Provide training to sites on escalation guidelines, monitoring to make sure the teams are following the guidelines.
- Effectively communicate long-term supply concerns, drive solutions.
- Work hours must be flexible / Must work across different time zones.
- Occasional travel to Mexico.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles (category management experience).
Good to Have
- PowerPoint/Google Docs experience.
- Experience in Oracle and/or SAP.
- Additional experience in Supply Chain / Materials /Warehousing /Inventory/Planning /Production Control.
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish.

Department Overview
Leads global supply assurance processes for North America, Mexico EMS.
Plays key leadership role globally leading the Global Supply Assurance
process creation, architecting and cadence adherence to the process.
Establishes processes and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction with
adherence to quality and best possible delivery. Interfaces with multiple
internal customers / external suppliers in order to provide the best possible
solutions / delivery in order to support MSI’s customers. Supports all efforts to
reduce the number of shortages with lead time reduction, buffer stock strategy,
contractual agreements. End to End experience in materials management is a
large advantage to this role as they need to interface/influence up and down
the supply chain internally and externally.
Job Description

- Understanding of key supply commodities such as semiconductors, castings, plastics and electronic / mechanical assemblies
- Understands those key products impacting each business, key Customers, and what is preventing our suppliers from building
- Drives each gating item to resolution with both the Purchasing teams, Category Teams, Suppliers, Engineering, and Exec teams
- Looks at all possible options to resolve including: Distribution, Alternative suppliers, Expedited freight, etc
- Understands current Lead-Times and what the long pole is for our key suppliers, drives to reduce these Lead-times
- Works with the Business Teams to understand both short and long-term forecasts and the communication to the teams.

Additional Qualified Skills:
- Proficiency in English
- Advanced Excel skills, PowerPoint/ Google Docs experience is plus
- Experience in Oracle and/or SAP is a plus. In Depth knowledge of how ERP systems and supplier collaboration work is key
- Leadership skills and traits
- Effective communication with all levels of management
- Ability to multitask
- History or experience leading process architecture, new processes
- Additional experience in Supply Chain / Materials /Warehousing /Inventory/Planning /Production Control will be a plus.
Bi-Lingual in Spanish would be a plus
