Job Description

About the Role

ECFT offers an exceptional opportunity for aspiring aviation professionals through its Support Crew Member (SCM) Program. This program is designed to support our clients who train in aircraft simulators requiring a minimum two-pilot crew. Qualified candidates will gain hands-on experience and world-class training on some of today’s most advanced aircraft platforms in real-world environments.

The SCM Program prepares and certifies students to provide “right seat support” for clients attending FAA, EASA, and GCAA-approved courses under 14 CFR Part 142 and EASA ATO curricula at our facilities.

Program Objectives:

  • Train and qualify students to perform the Pilot Monitoring role during FAA Part 61, 91, 135, EASA, and GCAA training events.
  • Provide formal Second-in-Command (SIC) simulator training for select aircraft types.
  • Offer access to advanced programs and enrichment courses at no additional cost, delivered by CAE—an industry leader in aviation training.

Since its inception, this program has launched numerous aviation careers. Receiving world-class training from a global leader will give you a competitive edge and help build the professional foundation sought by airlines and aviation companies worldwide.

Program Duration & Training Commitment

  • The SCM Program spans two years.
  • The cost of type rating and associated training is offset through a pre-determined number of support sessions completed by the SCM candidate.
  • These sessions are distributed across four quarters, with a set threshold per quarter.

Candidate Requirements:

  • FAA Commercial Pilot License or Airline Transport Pilot License
  • Airplane Multi-Engine Land rating
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Minimum flying hours 200
