Job Description

This role is a critical contributor to the Americas tax team, working closely with global tax departments. The Tax Analyst will assist in federal and state income tax accounting, planning, and compliance, analyze tax consequences of M&A and corporate simplification projects, ensure compliance with tax policies, and support tax planning initiatives. They will also review and respond to tax authority notices and analyze direct and indirect tax consequences of business transactions.

Must Have:
  • Assist in all aspects of federal and state income tax accounting, planning and compliance.
  • Analyze tax consequences of M&A and Corporate simplification projects.
  • Ensure compliance with group tax policies and applicable local tax regulations.
  • Assist in tax planning initiatives, including R&D credits, transfer pricing, cash tax timing opportunities, and state tax topics.
  • Review and respond to notices from various domestic and foreign tax authorities.
  • Analyze and provide feedback on direct and indirect (Sales tax) consequences of various business transactions.
  • 4+ years’ experience in a multi-state/multi-jurisdictional environment with complex tax requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of tax and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with preparation of federal and state tax workpapers and returns.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel.

Role & Responsibilities

You will be a critical contributor to the Americas tax team made up of 8 professionals and will work closely with the global tax department and its 30 members. You will report to the Senior Tax Manager - International and M&A and will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects with the entire tax team including worldwide colleagues located in France and Singapore.

The tax function is extremely dynamic driven by the strong worldwide growth of the Group.

  • Assist in all aspects of federal and state income tax accounting, planning and compliance
  • Analyze tax consequences of M&A and Corporate simplification projects
  • Ensure compliance with group tax policies and applicable local tax regulations
  • Assist in tax planning initiatives, including R&D credits, transfer pricing, cash tax timing opportunities, and state tax topics
  • Review and respond to notices from various domestic and foreign tax authorities
  • Analyze and provide feedback on direct and indirect (Sales tax) consequences of various business transactions including new offerings, IP transfers, and other business restructuring

Qualifications

  • 4+ years’ experience in a multi-state/multi-jurisdictional environment with complex tax requirements
  • CPA preferred but not a must have
  • Strong knowledge of tax and general accounting principles
  • Experience with preparation of federal and state tax workpapers and returns
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Excellent organizational, written and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel

Salary pay Transprency

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $88000 and $118000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
