Team Lead [Quality Foundations]

Job Summary
The Quality Foundations team provides tools, middleware, and services for Ubisoft game production and engine teams, supporting them throughout the game lifecycle with modern and tailored solutions. As a Team Lead, you will build and guide a new developer tools team, leveraging your technological expertise and leadership to develop essential technologies. You will support team members' professional development, ensure their well-being, and coordinate efforts to deliver consistent, quality systems that enhance the gaming experience. You will also foster collaboration with local game testing experts and other teams in France and Canada.
Must Have
- Participate in the recruitment process of the team.
- Plan, distribute tasks, and follow up on project progress.
- Provide the team with tools for independent work and contribute to the long-term technological vision.
- Meet individually with team members to discuss performance, well-being, and career advancement.
- Rollout best development standards and practices (e.g., trunk-based development, inner source, CICD, devops).
- Take part in development team responsibilities: design, code, review, test, documentation, support.
- Communicate regularly with your project lead to plan, assess risks, and deliver on time.
- Meet with other leads to improve processes and share technologies.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Professional experience managing a team of programmers.
- Solid experience in programming (C#, .Net, Blazor).
- Experience and knowledge of Agile frameworks (especially Kanban or Scrum).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and strategic leadership skills coupled with strong empathy and diplomacy.
- The ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of UX and UI principles.
- Experience and understanding of video game production and game quality engineering.

Whether it be middleware, back-end, data, or front-end solutions or expertise, we support our productions throughout their life cycle. As a Quality Foundations Team Lead, you help build and guide a new developer tools team composed of talented and inspired team members who develop technologies needed to create tools for the games that Ubisoft fans have come to expect. Your technological know-how, leadership skills, and ability to make informed decisions will help you fulfill your ambitions. Your work will be filled with passion and pride.

You will capitalize on your presence in a Ubisoft studio with a strong QC expertise to foster close feedback loops with local game testing experts representing the target audience of your project. QUALIFICATIONS
What You Bring
