Job Summary
Pentair is seeking a practical, enthusiastic, and driven customer-focused Area Sales Manager to actively promote its pool product range across Victoria. This role requires an experienced Sales professional with a solid understanding of customer and end-user requirements. The successful candidate will be results-driven, capable of communicating, negotiating, influencing, and developing constructive relationships, with a proven history of meeting targets, managing existing accounts, and seeking new business opportunities.
Must Have
- Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned territory to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability
- Achieve sales budget for the assigned territory
- Communicate monthly forecast to Management
- Continuously improve customer professional relationships
- Execute marketing & promotional activities for assigned territory
- Train dealer network within allocated territory
- Provide hands-on product training in the field, including troubleshooting and programming automation products
- Liaise with manufacturing plants on product availability and customer requirements
- Contribute to the development of the national sales strategy by identifying and analyzing market and product trends
- Resolve customer product enquiries
- Experience dealing with similar customer groups and having technical understanding of products
- Ability to work autonomously
- Sales experience with proven technical aptitude
- Demonstrated knowledge of developing and presenting product presentations
- Management of existing accounts and relationships
- Sound written and communication skills
- Negotiation skills and customer focused
- Knowledge of CRM use
- Highly motivated and possess an ability to build strong business relationships
- Microsoft Office programs knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for developing a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned territory to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability
