Job Summary
As an Unreal Engine Environment Artist for architectural visualization, you will create photorealistic architectural scenes using 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting within Unreal Engine. You will collaborate with architects and designers to produce immersive environments, ensuring design intent is conveyed accurately. Key tasks include creating detailed 3D models, developing high-quality textures, setting up dynamic lighting for real-time projects, and integrating all elements into polished environments. Optimization for performance and incorporating feedback are also crucial.
Must Have
- Create detailed and optimized 3D models of architectural environments.
- Develop high-quality textures and materials using tools like Substance Painter, Quixel, or Photoshop.
- Set up dynamic and static lighting optimized for real-time projects in Unreal Engine.
- Integrate models, textures, lighting, and camera setups to build complete environments.
- Work closely with the architecture team, art leads, developers, and project managers.
- Ensure scenes are optimized for performance without compromising visual quality.
- Accept and implement feedback from stakeholders.
- Proven experience as an Environment Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing architectural visualization work in Unreal Engine.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as 3ds Max, Blender, or Maya.
- Strong understanding of texturing, UV mapping/Unwrapping, and PBR workflows.
- Experience with lighting techniques in Unreal Engine, particularly UE5.
- Solid grasp of architectural space, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong sense of realism and aesthetics, good communication, and time-management skills.
Good to Have
- Experience in virtual tours or interactive architectural walkthroughs.
- Knowledge of Blueprint scripting for scene interaction (optional).
- Familiarity with CAD/BIM integration is a plus, like importing from Revit or ArchiCAD.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- 3D Modeling: Create detailed and optimized 3D models of architectural environments, including interiors, exteriors, landscapes, and props based on CAD files or blueprints.
- Texturing & Materials: Develop high-quality textures and materials using tools like Substance Painter, Quixel, or Photoshop to apply physically accurate and stylistically appropriate materials aligning with architectural realism.
- Lighting & Rendering: Set up dynamic and static lighting optimized for real-time projects in Unreal Engine to achieve photorealistic results, utilizing techniques like light baking, Lumen (UE5), and post-processing.
- Scene Assembly: Integrate models, textures, lighting, and camera setups to build complete, polished environments within Unreal Engine.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the architecture team, art leads, developers, and project managers to ensure alignment between artistic vision and technical requirements.
- Optimization: Ensure scenes are optimized for performance without compromising visual quality, understanding level streaming, LODs, and efficient asset management in Unreal.
- Iteration & Feedback: Accept and implement feedback from stakeholders, contributing ideas to enhance the quality and efficiency of visual outputs.

- Proven experience as an Environment Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing architectural visualization work in Unreal Engine.
