Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst and Power BI Developer with a strong foundation in Data Analysis, Customer Success, and emerging Gen AI analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, and other BI technologies—while also exploring AI-driven data insights and automation techniques to enhance decision-making.
You will design intuitive BI experiences, work with diverse data sources including Snowflake, SAP HANA, SharePoint, Data Lakes, and REST APIs, and leverage Gen AI tools and LLMs to drive smarter, faster, and more contextual analytics.
Responsibilities
- Data Modelling: Design, develop, and maintain optimized data models to support business reporting, analytics, and self-service BI.
- Advanced BI & AI Integration: Build Power BI solutions that integrate with Microsoft Fabric’s AI features, Copilot, and Gen AI models to automate insights and natural language-driven data analysis.
- Gen AI Analytics: Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and Gen AI platforms to summarize data, detect anomalies, generate insights, and automate report narratives.
- Self-Service & AI-Augmented Reporting: Develop self-service datasets and AI-driven dashboards that empower business users to perform ad-hoc analysis with minimal technical dependency.
- Data Analysis & Insights:
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights aligned with business objectives.
- UX & Visualization Design: Create intuitive, user-friendly, and visually engaging BI dashboards tailored for different business audiences.
- Advanced DAX & Dataflows: Develop complex DAX calculations, measures, and Dataflows to support analytical and operational reporting needs.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize queries, datasets, and reports for scalability, efficiency, and performance across large data volumes.
- Data Quality & Governance: Implement validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Architects, and Business Analysts, to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation for data models, ETL logic, reports, and dashboards to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience: 6–8 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or BI Developer
Technical Expertise:
- Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake
- Strong command of DAX, Dataflows, Direct Query/Import modes, Incremental refresh, and Parallel loading
- Data modelling and relational database design principles
- Experience integrating Gen AI or Copilot in BI workflows
- Domain Knowledge: Proven experience in Customer Success analytics in a product-based organization.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
The Idea Candidate
- Certifications in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or related BI tools
- Experience with Gen AI, LLMs, or Python/R for advanced analytics
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL best practices
- Understanding of data visualization standards and UI/UX principles
