We are seeking a forward-thinking VFX Workflow Supervisor to help establish and lead the VFX Emerging Technology Operations (VETO) team. This team is focused on integrating emerging technologies into VFX workflows, driving innovation, and enhancing operational efficiency. The VFX Workflow Supervisor will play a critical role in mapping, measuring, and optimizing VFX processes, ensuring that our teams are equipped with cutting-edge tools and methodologies to excel.

Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement strategies to map and measure the efficiency of VFX processes across the organization
    • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions leveraging both internal and external tools
    • Lead the discovery and prototyping phases for new technologies, from initial testing to full deployment
    • Collaborate with the Integration Team, Technical Execution Team, and Innovation Hub to ensure seamless integration of emerging technologies into current workflows
    • Oversee the end-to-end process of technology integration projects, ensuring alignment with production demands and company objectives
    • Work closely with Integration Managers and Specialists to manage project cycles, from green-lighting to productization
    • Foster collaboration between departments and cross-functional teams to drive innovation and integration efforts
    • Conduct regular meetings with the VFX Workflow Council and Innovation Supervisors to align innovation efforts with production processes and talent development
    • Conduct ongoing research into emerging technologies and VFX innovations
    • Propose and plan the utilization of R&D prototypes or emerging technologies in collaboration with Integration Specialists and Managers
    • Mentor and guide VFX Supervisors and team members through the process of technology integration and workflow improvement
    • Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the VETO team
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of integration efforts, including project efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and client satisfaction
    • Regularly review and refine integration plans to enhance effectiveness and optimize resource use

Minimum Qualifications

    • Advanced understanding of the entire VFX process and proven experience as Head of Department or CG/DFX/VFX Supervisor
    • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies in the VFX industry and experience in integrating these technologies into existing workflows
    • Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
