Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Literature review: find appropriate scientific publications, extract main information by efficient reading, get familiar with gallium nitride devices and their reliability challenges
- Definition of Experiments: find main parameters to be studied, plan the experiments and execute them
- Test Equipment Utilization: work with wafer testers and advanced electrical characterization equipment
- Data Analysis: work with data analysis tools, extract the correct trends from the data, be critical about the results
- Develop Reliability Models: confront results with existing literature, work with failure analysis group, improve understanding about degradation mechanisms
- Presentation of the results: summarize main findings, create clear support containing the results, discuss with experts and define next steps
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Education: pursuing a master’s degree in Physics, Material Sciences, Electrical Engineering or similar
- Semiconductor Physic: basics about semiconductor-based devices. Knowledge about microelectronic fabrication processes or Gallium Nitride devices are a plus
- Ability to grow in a team: open minded, communication and presentation skills, eager to learn
- Problem solving skills: attention to details, critical thinking, ask the experts
- Programming: knowledge about programming languages Python/Matlab
- Electronics principles is a plus: basic understanding of electronic circuits
- English as working language: be able to share your ideas, work in an international environment

- Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
- You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
