We are on the hunt for a super talented R&D Group Manager to join our studio in AMSTERDAM. Better known as the Youda studio. We're only looking for candidates based in the Netherlands, applications from abroad won’t be considered.
From our studio in Amsterdam, we supply the world with Governor of Poker 3 and Monopoly Poker to players around the world.

ABOUT THE JOB!
We are looking for an R&D Group Manager to lead a team of R&D Team Leads, Tech Leads and other professionals in exploring and implementing innovative technologies for our games. You’ll lead the development of new features for our games, all driven by the exciting vision of creating a better experience for our players. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, leadership experience, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of gaming.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead an engineering team responsible for developing complex, high-scale mobile games.
- Foster an innovative culture where open discussions, strategic risks, and collaborative problem-solving thrive while also establishing efficient processes for smooth scaling.
- Work closely with product management, balancing leadership responsibilities with occasional hands-on engineering tasks.
- Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, moving fast, failing fast, and learning fast to keep up with constant change.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience leading teams and managing people in the gaming industry.
- Comfortable working with reporting tools like Jira.
- Familiar with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Being able to inspire your team and oversee the big picture. Not just for our games but also for the team you’re managing.
- Fluent in English.
- Proven track record of planning and handling large-scale projects.
- Open-minded, great at facilitating technical discussions, explaining the big picture, and connecting the details.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to shifting priorities.
- Think critically and approach problems with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Gaming industry experience
