About the Role
Position Introduction
As an accounting professional for the smartphone payment service "PayPay," you will be responsible for tasks related to consolidated financial statements. The consolidated accounting department consists of over 10 members. Given the rapidly changing business and organizational environment, there will be many opportunities to collaborate with various internal and external parties.

Background of Recruitment
As a SoftBank Group company, we are rapidly growing our business centered on the smartphone payment service "PayPay." This recruitment aims to strengthen our team to build an accounting system suitable for a leading payment service company, corresponding to the expansion of our company size. We are looking for individuals who can not only handle routine accounting tasks but also lead and manage projects for process transformation and construction.
Specific Job Responsibilities
- Organizing IFRS accounting treatment for new events
- Preparing for IPO
- Building internal accounting systems
- Leading coordination with other departments
- Creating and checking quarterly and annual securities reports
- Negotiating with audit firms on important issues and finding common ground with management requirements
- Supporting subsidiary accounting operations (banking/securities), including secondments

Required Experience/Skills
- Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC 730 or higher)
- Experience in one of the following:
- Experience in consolidated financial statements and disclosure operations at a business company, or accounting-related operations such as management planning or management accounting
- Experience in accounting audits at an audit firm, internal control audits, or internal control advisory
- Experience in accounting processing and financial closing operations based on IFRS
- Experience in coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders
- Must reside in an area where commuting to the Tokyo head office is possible (Kanto region)
Desired Experience/Skills
- Skill to interpret contracts, including English contracts
- Tax filing and audit response
- Experience in implementing accounting systems
- Experience in reviewing and defining requirements for accounting-related systems
- Experience in implementing operational efficiency improvements
- Experience in preparing various reporting documents (Company Act, parent company reporting)
- Accounting experience at banks or securities companies

Work Location
- Hybrid Workstyle (office, home, or satellite office for remote work)
- For this position, you must reside in the Tokyo metropolitan area where commuting to the Tokyo head office is possible.
- Use of satellite offices is subject to departmental rules.
Working Hours
- Super Flex System (no core time)
- Principle: 10:00 AM - 6:45 PM (7 hours 45 minutes actual work + 1 hour break)
Holidays
- Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and company-designated days
Leave (Statutory Leave and Company Benefits)
- Annual paid leave (14 days in the first year, prorated based on joining month. Usable from joining date)
- Personal leave (5 days per year, 3 or 5 days in the first year depending on joining month)
- This is PayPay's unique special paid leave system, which can be used for illness/injury/hospital visits for oneself, family, or pets.
Salary
- Annual salary system (including some fixed overtime pay)
- Determined according to company regulations based on experience, skills, performance, and contribution
- Reviewed once a year
- Special bonus (incentive) paid once a year based on company performance and individual contribution
- Overtime work allowance, late-night work allowance, work-from-home allowance (100,000 JPY annually)
- Part of your salary can be received via PayPay account (supports digital salary payment)
