TransPerfect Games is seeking English into Spanish (LATAM) gaming translators and proofreaders for fixed-term contract localization projects in Tokyo. The role involves translating indie to AAA titles, ensuring a high-quality gaming experience for Spanish (LATAM) players. Candidates need native Spanish (LATAM) and strong English proficiency, a passion for gaming, and at least 2 years of gaming localization experience, especially in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy genres, with CAT tool expertise.
Must Have:
- Native-level proficiency in Spanish (LATAM)
- Strong command of English
- Deep passion for gaming and familiarity with gaming terminology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in gaming localization (English>Spanish (LATAM))
- Expertise in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy games
- Skilled in CAT tools (preferably in memoQ)
- Detail-oriented with excellent grammar, spelling, and terminology skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Right to work in Tokyo
- Ability to work onsite in Tokyo during core business hours (Mon – Fri, 8 hours per day)
- Sign a confidentiality agreement
- Complete a Translation test
- Meet one of the minimum requirements: Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies; 2+ years translation experience + college degree; 5+ years translation experience; or a translation certification.

Important information:
- This position is on a fixed-term contract.
- As a mandatory requirement, you must have the right to work in Tokyo. You will be required to provide supporting documentation.
- This is an onsite position. You are required to work onsite during core business hours (Mon – Fri, 8 hours per day) at our office in Tokyo. So you shall be based in the Tokyo area or you are within commuting distance to our office.
