Job Description

Belka Games, a top mobile game developer, is seeking a Level Designer for its RnD department. This role involves testing hypotheses and creating new puzzle game hits. The designer will develop and implement difficulty curves, create new puzzle mechanics, and ensure level quality. Must Have:
  • Developing and implementing difficulty curves for levels
  • Developing, describing, and implementing new puzzle mechanics
  • Developing, testing and controlling the quality of new and existing levels
  • Working with analytics, monitoring the real difficulty of levels, and making corrections
  • Interacting with the art department to find visual solutions for new mechanics
  • Participating in creative discussions about events and features in collaboration with game designers, artists, and programmers
  • At least two years of experience as a level designer for multiple puzzle projects
  • Experience working with various level editors
  • Experience setting the game balance and difficulty curve and understanding of the logic of mechanic implementation order
  • Plenty of experience playing games with puzzle mechanics
  • Intermediate English or higher

We're looking for a Level Designer to join our RnD department, which is responsible for hypothesis testing. If you have plenty of gaming experience in puzzle mechanics and want to create a new hit, then you're in the right place!

You'll have the opportunity to work on projects from the very beginning, up until their first technical launches. And cross-project exchange and experienced colleagues in the RnD department will ensure a favorable atmosphere for your professional development.
