Sony Pictures Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Los Angeles, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world. REQUIREMENTS:
- Manage and distribute all script drafts, ensuring proper formatting and version control
- Proofread scripts for grammar, consistency, and formatting errors
- Work closely with writers, producers, legal, and production departments to track changes and incorporate notes
- When needed, coordinates with storyboard production to organize temp records and ensure audio files are distributed
- Coordinate the writing schedule and distribute and update the weekly script status report; give script progress updates at regular production meetings
- Conform scripts to edited dialogue and action of all animatics, locked picture, and final mixed picture
- Assist with coordination of record logistics
- Track pickup and ADR lines
- Track and provide a cast list with line counts for script drafts to other production staff
- Work in conjunction with the Line Producer, Casting, Music, Talent Relations and Recording Studios to schedule cast records efficiently
- Collaborate with episodic production team to track dialogue pickups when called in editorial
- Maintain script databases and episode tracking grids
- Create and maintain continuity documents, such as character lists, location logs, and series bibles
- Assist with legal clearances and script flags, as required
- Work with editorial, animation, and post to deliver locked scripts and updated versions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of previous TV animation production experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with partner studios
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
