LikeCard Group seeks a Senior Tax Accountant to lead all tax operations in Egypt, ensuring compliance with local laws. Responsibilities include preparing and filing tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, salary tax), managing tax audits, reviewing tax accounts, monitoring tax law changes, developing tax policies, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and participating in tax planning. The ideal candidate will possess extensive tax accounting experience in Egypt, strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws, proficiency in accounting software, excellent analytical and communication skills, and fluency in English and Arabic.

Job Summary:
LikeCard Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to lead all tax-related operations in compliance with Egyptian tax laws. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in tax accounting, particularly in corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, and salary tax, along with a solid understanding of Egyptian Tax Authority regulations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate tax reporting, strategic tax planning, and effective risk management, and requires strong analytical and communication skills as well as experience with accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., corporate income tax, VAT, WHT, salary tax) in accordance with Egyptian tax regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax payments and submissions to the Egyptian Tax Authority.
- Manage and support external and internal tax audits and respond to tax queries.
- Review and analyze all tax-related accounts and reconcile tax balances.
- Monitor changes in local tax laws and regulations and advise management on potential impacts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including legal, HR, and accounting to ensure tax compliance.
- Provide support during financial audits and ensure proper tax documentation is maintained.
- Participate in tax planning and advisory activities to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Liaise with external tax consultants and auditors as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Certified Tax Accountant (preferred) or CPA/CMA qualification is an advantage.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in tax accounting in Egypt, preferably in multinational or large local companies.
- Solid knowledge of Egyptian Tax Laws (Income tax, VAT, WHT, Stamp tax, etc.)
- Experience dealing with the Egyptian Tax Authority and audit processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (both written and spoken).
