Job Summary

Job Description

As a Software Architect at Ness Digital Engineering, you'll lead software initiatives, driving alignment and simplification across products and teams. Responsibilities include documenting design decisions, developing technical specifications, ensuring scalability and performance, designing DevOps systems, making technical proposals, identifying areas for improvement, and influencing product strategy. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, along with experience in Agile environments, AI projects, code reviews, mentoring, and various technologies (Azure/AWS/GCP, Java, Javascript/Typescript).

Must have:

Drive alignment and simplification across teams
Document design decisions & develop technical specifications
Ensure scalability and performance of solutions
Design, implement, and work with DevOps systems
Agile (Scrum/Kanban) experience
AI project experience
Excellent communication (English/German)
Experience with code reviews and technical discussions

Good to have:

Experience with mentoring and coaching
IT architecture, infrastructure and cloud development
DevOps Design (IaC)
System and data security
Business analysis techniques and processes
Database management (relational and non-relational)
In-depth knowledge of coding languages (Java, Javascript/Typescript)

Requirements and responsibilities

As a Software Architect, you will be at the forefront of software initiatives, playing a crucial role and leading by example.

What you’ll do:

Driving alignment, integration, and simplification across products and teams;
Documentation of design decisions and development of technical specifications;
Good knowledge of software and Cloud design patterns;
Ensuring the scalability and performance of the developed solutions;
Knowledge of designing, implementing, and working with DevOps systems;
Making technical proposals, driving collaboration and consensus across teams;
Identify opportunities for improvement of services, processes, and teams;
Exposing technologies and organizational needs to senior leadership;
Influencing product strategy.

What you'll bring:

Completed studies in computer science, software technology, or a comparable area;
You worked in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment;
Experience with AI projects;
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in both English and/or German;
Problem-solving skills;
Experience with code reviews and technical discussions;
Experience with mentoring and coaching;
Analytical thinking, commitment, and high-quality awareness;
