Role Overview
The Account Executive will assist the Account Director and wider team to deliver the best work possible across campaign development, implementation and insightful media and social channel monitoring and reporting.
This is an emerging practitioner's role and requires a degree in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism (or similar), strong computer skills especially in Microsoft Office and Excel, a minimum two year's full-time agency or similar experience and proven proficiency to perform tasks required to a high standard.
The position reports to an Account Director (or above) with whom the person works on a daily basis and requires accountability for personal and team outputs and outcomes, under supervision but with more autonomy. An Account Executive may line manage Interns and Account Coordinators.

Communications measurement and evaluation: Media tracking, analysis and reporting
Development of communications plans and relevant media materials including briefs, releases and speaking notes
Design and creativity: Ability to create aesthetically pleasing client facing documents and contribute to creative ideations and brainstorms
Appropriate stakeholder, agency and client relations
Presentation: confidence in presenting to stakeholders, client and agency

Areas of Responsibility
General
Liaise and attend meetings with clients, media, prospective clients and internal teams (Havas Red and broader Havas Village)
Produce meeting reports noting actions and ensuring appropriate interaction and follow up
Maintain and update client, media and supplier databases
Manage keeping coverage tracker up to date with PR coverage across product, corporate and consumer/lifestyle and assist the team with reporting duties
Assist with the design and content of documents and proposals
Participate as an active and interested team member, providing support to colleagues and taking every opportunity presented to learn and develop the 'art of consulting' including approach, response, message and knowledge delivery
Participate in brainstorms to generate media strategies and story ideas
Complete timesheets daily with required detail around what was done, ensuring all time is tracked, billing a minimum average of 6.5 billable hours to client work per day
Follow company policies and procedures
Media and Influencer Relations
Prepare and keep up to date accurate, relevant media distribution lists and stay on top of media landscape or industry changes
Have sound media relationships across mainstream and specialist outlets relevant to client base
Build relationships with influencers relevant to client base
Develop high quality media releases, pitches and materials, including research, writing, editing, collating and distributing through relevant social media channels
Proactively follow up media to achieve agreed KPIs
Respond to and follow up media enquiries in a timely and efficient manner
Monitor and report on client and industry media activity ensuring media coverage is provided in the best quality and as quickly as possible
Maintain, develop and track an active press-fleet loan program
Plan and carry out media research and advise team on relevant opportunities for clients in consultation with account managers
Consumer/lifestyle PR stories - Creative thinking of press office angles and partnerships or collaborations
Actively participate in brainstorms to generate media strategies and story ideas
Digital/Social
Awareness of client, industry and competitor social media activity
Awareness of content calendars within relevant team/s
Develop, post and monitor social media content as directed
Event Management
Assist in event management including research, venue, catering and talent selection and management
Coordinate guest lists, devise and dispatch invitations and manage RSVPs
Provide quality control and hands on support
Assess risks and develop contingencies
