The eBay Category Trading Advisor is responsible for leading and developing the operational and commercial relationship of growing the selected category by working with an allocated list of US sellers. The objective of this role is to proactively coach sellers through our Pro-Trader Program to grow their accounts on eBay.com, by identifying and implementing agreed account scaling opportunities.

Must Have

  • Lead and develop the operational and commercial relationship with allocated sellers, within the portfolio and in line with the eBay category strategy.
  • Proactive growth mentor of assigned accounts to review, identify and implement agreed scaling opportunities.
  • Interpret seller needs and behaviors & demonstrate how to get the best/most relevant offer to the buyer.
  • Identify and source relevant and market leading inventory to support execution of strategy.
  • Use levers to get products on site to drive account growth for the seller and the category.
  • Provide sourcing guidance and drive inventory acquisition from allocated sellers.
  • Educate and influence sellers on adopting eBay’s suite of marketing and promotional tools.
  • Educate sellers on key marketing campaigns through the calendar year and jointly plan a marketing calendar.
  • Ensure adherence to all policy, finance and vetting process steps.
  • Attend weekly meetings to share performance updates of assigned category and sellers, share seller insights, and execute relevant actions.
  • Attend weekly meetings to provide performance overview and share key callouts.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity.
  • Excellent at time and project management skills.
  • Pro-active with a can-do attitude & excellent at problem solving.
  • Able to work tactically & strategically to drive & respond to business performance.
  • Strong with selling skill, comfortable to operate in a fast-moving selling environment and skilled at running peak selling periods.
  • Ownership of personal development plan and clear objectives and goals set for the year.

Good to Have

  • Experience in buying or selling within an online retail or SMB (Small to Medium Business) environment.
  • Strong experience in a client relationship management environment.

The eBay Category Trading Advisor is responsible for leading and developing the operational and commercial relationship of growing the selected category by working with an allocated list of US sellers.

The objective of this role is to proactively coach sellers through our Pro-Trader Program to grow their accounts on eBay.com, by identifying and implementing agreed account scaling opportunities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a key partnership approach to develop a specialist understanding of sellers’ business operations and current strategy and apply this insight to identify and execute growth opportunities!

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the operational and commercial relationship with allocated sellers, within the portfolio and in line with the ebay category strategy
  • Proactive growth mentor of assigned accounts to review, identify and implement agreed scaling opportunities with the sellers
  • Interpret seller needs and behaviors & demonstrate they know how to get the best/ most relevant offer to the buyer
  • Identify and source relevant and market leading inventory to support execution of strategy and ensure eBay is the most driven site for buyers to buy products in the assigned category.
  • Use levers to get products on site to drive account growth for the seller and the category
  • Provide sourcing guidance and drive inventory acquisition from your allocated sellers
  • Educate and influence sellers on adopting eBay’s suite of marketing and promotional tools
  • Educate sellers on key marketing campaigns through the calendar year (. i.e. Black Friday), and jointly plan a marketing calendar
  • Ensure adherence to all policy, finance and vetting process steps
  • Attend weekly meetings to share performance updates of your assigned category and sellers, and share seller insights, and execute relevant actions for your designated accounts and category
  • Attend weekly meetings to provide performance overview and share key callouts

Requirements

Experience

  • Distinct advantage to demonstrate experience in buying or selling within an online retail or SMB (Small to Medium Business) environment.
  • Strong experience in a client relationship management environment
  • Selling on ebay to know the experience is a distinct advantage

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$58,700 - $72,100

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
