As part of the Apple TV leadership team, the Platform Director will be responsible for operating, adapting, and evolving the Apple TV platform. This role involves managing the global customer experience, integrating Apple's first-party content with third-party partners worldwide. The director will lead a multi-skilled team overseeing production, publishing, metadata, platform optimization, personalization, merchandising, and copy to deliver a best-in-class experience. This dynamic and creative role drives innovation, defines platform strategy, and ensures flawless execution of content launches, ultimately shaping the future of entertainment discovery for Apple customers globally.
Must Have
- 20+ years experience in digital media at a major technology or entertainment company
- Strong track record managing large, high-functioning teams in fast-paced environments
- Solid understanding of product and platform operations, including design, product, and engineering planning cycles
- Deep passion for and understanding of content across services and the media entertainment/streaming industry
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence in a delivery-focused environment
- Experienced leader who inspires teams, builds culture, and develops individuals
- Articulate and confident communicator, able to distill complex information
- Strong experience with cross-functional collaboration and building interpersonal relationships

You will manage the global customer experience bringing together Apple’s own first-party TV shows, movies, and live sports, as well as those of our third-party partners worldwide. - The Platform Director leads a multi-skilled team that oversees the Apple TV app including production, publishing, metadata, platform optimization, personalization, merchandising and copy, ensuring we deliver a best-in class experience to customers every day around the world.
- Innovation is at the heart of everything we do and in this role you will be striving for constant improvements leading the way in delivering new experiences that solve customer problems and make their viewing better.
- Managing the breadth of all things video on the platform and how they come together in one sole cohesive experience, the role oversees the full breadth of content from Apple Originals to live sports (including F1, Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball) to third-party shows and movies, and more.
- Driving the platform strategy to set new standards, launching new features across multiple devices as well as optimizing daily performance for engagement and efficacy are all core to the success in this role.
- Close cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, design, programming and operations are essential in devising new features and functionality as well as ensuring flawless execution of content launches day in and day out.
- Evolving both editorial presentation as well as automation and personalization and striking the balance in the spirit of driving customer engagement is critical to the role. As AI tools also become more adopted and open new opportunities to innovate, you will think beyond the day to day to build for an exciting future that sets new standards in digital entertainment and streaming. You will also have the opportunity to shape and what Apple designs, builds and ships in this rapidly-evolving and growing space.

- A solid understanding of product and platform operations as well as how these come together to deliver a best -in-class customer experience. Fluency with design, product, and engineering planning cycles is also important
