Job Summary
As an Application Technician for water treatment, you will join the Chemical Monitoring Solutions team in the Grand-Est region, covering departments 54 and 57, and occasionally Luxembourg. Your role involves ensuring the technical and analytical monitoring of water treatment installations at industrial client sites. You will perform analyses, maintain equipment, manage stock, report activities, build client relationships, support commercial efforts, and ensure HSE compliance. This is a full-time permanent contract position with a mix of onsite client visits and home office work.
Must Have
- Perform analyses and sampling according to client contracts
- Participate in maintenance of existing equipment (dosing pumps, softeners, analyzers)
- Manage stock levels and ensure timely orders
- Generate visit reports and document all activities
- Maintain quality client relationships and identify commercial opportunities
- Participate in drafting offers for after-sales service, equipment, and chemical products
- Be exemplary in respecting HSE policy and report dangerous situations
- Hold a minimum Bac+2 in Chemistry, Process Engineering, or Water Treatment
- Possess a first successful experience in water treatment or industrial maintenance
- Be autonomous and organized
- Demonstrate rigor in analyses and reporting
- Have good customer relations and positive communication
- Be dynamic, proactive, and enjoy field work
- Be resourceful, solution-oriented, and able to intervene on equipment
- Master IT and office tools
- Master technical English at B2 level
- Possess a B driving license

WATER TREATMENT APPLICATION TECHNICIAN - Nancy / Metz
Permanent contract position
Context:
Reporting to the Application Technicians Manager, you will join the East team. This team, under the leadership of the Territory Manager, includes Technical-Commercial Engineers and Application Technicians. Your intervention area will cover the Grand Est region: departments 54 and 57 and occasionally Luxembourg.
You will work on industrial client sites of various activities and sizes (chemistry, steel industry, etc.). You will work on water distribution circuits, cooling towers, industrial boilers, various equipment (dosing pumps, softeners, analyzers), and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
Your role will consist of ensuring the technical and analytical monitoring of water treatment installations at our industrial clients, while developing a close and trusting relationship.
Missions:
- Analyses and sampling: You carry out sampling and analytical monitoring in accordance with client contracts. Your rigor and chemical skills guarantee the reliability of the results.
- Equipment maintenance: You participate in the maintenance of existing equipment (dosing pumps, softeners, analyzers) and gradually develop your skills in this area. Your curiosity and resourcefulness allow you to perform first-level diagnostics and basic interventions, with the support of the team.
- Stock and order management: You monitor stock levels and ensure that orders are placed in a timely manner. Your organization helps prevent shortages.
- Reporting and documentation: You generate a visit report using the tools in place (InSight, Excel) and record all important activities and developments in writing. Your ability to communicate clearly in writing facilitates the follow-up of interventions.
- Client relationship and opportunity detection: Your presence in the field maintains quality relationships to secure our activities. You are proactive and report commercial opportunities to your manager.
- Commercial support: You participate in drafting offers for after-sales service, equipment, and chemical products in agreement with your hierarchical manager. Your proactivity contributes to business development.
- Compliance with HSE standards: You are exemplary in respecting the HSE policy and report dangerous situations. You are authorized to sign prevention plans after risk analysis with the client.
Work time distribution: on average 4 days on client sites / 1 day in home office for administrative tasks (quotes, planning management, orders, intervention reports, technical sheets).
Intervention area: You will intervene in departments 54 and 57 and occasionally Luxembourg.
Qualifications
- You must have a minimum Bac+2 diploma in Chemistry, Process Engineering, or Water Treatment.
- You have a first successful experience (end-of-study internship, apprenticeship, first job) in water treatment, maintenance in water treatment (operation, boiler room, refrigeration, etc.) or in an industrial environment (wastewater treatment plants, industry).
- You are autonomous and know how to organize your tours and your work efficiently.
- You demonstrate rigor, particularly in performing analyses and writing intervention reports.
- You are recognized for your good client relations, your positive communication, and your ability to express information clearly and concisely.
- You are dynamic, proactive, and enjoy working in the field.
- Resourceful and proactive, you are solution-oriented and have no difficulty intervening on equipment installations.
- You master IT and office tools.
- You are exemplary in respecting the HSE policy and know how to report dangerous situations. You are able to perform risk analyses with the client (authorized to sign prevention plans).
- You have a developed sense of customer service and are responsive, while keeping contractual constraints in mind.
- You master technical English at B2 level (reading technical documents).
- You possess a B driving license (mandatory).
