The Expert Sales Advisor for Butchery at METRO France ensures expertise in the butchery trade. This role involves product specialization, market analysis, sales development with a client portfolio, internal and external collaboration, and knowledge transfer to the sales team. The advisor is responsible for product presentation, customer guidance, and driving sales performance.

Must Have

  • Guarantee METRO Butchery trade expertise.
  • Specialize in butchery products (technicality, seasonality, culinary knowledge).
  • Know the market: sourcing, analysis, trends, competition.
  • Ensure product display and maintenance.
  • Orient, inform, and propose products/solutions to clients.
  • Pilot and animate client portfolio performance.
  • Develop clientele through immersions, phoning, visits, and appointments.
  • Share client feedback and best practices internally.
  • Propose animations and commercial actions.
  • Transmit product knowledge and trade gestures to the team.
  • Follow and analyze performance indicators.
  • Minimum 3 years of significant professional experience in a commercial environment.
  • Real expertise in Butchery Products.

Job Description

Your mission:

The Expert Sales Advisor's mission is to guarantee METRO Butchery's trade expertise.

Their expertise revolves around 4 aspects:

1. The product: Butchery

You are a specialist and a product promoter in terms of technicality, seasonality, history, and culinary knowledge.

You know the market of your "Universe": sourcing, analysis, monitoring, trend reporting, competition, and participate in the referencing of local products.

You ensure shelf stocking and are responsible for its maintenance.

2. Sales and customer partnership

You are the reference for your expertise and you guide, inform, and propose products and/or solutions to clients.

You act as a true salesperson, you manage and animate the performance of your client portfolio to develop it.

You also develop your clientele through immersion actions, phoning, visits, and/or appointments.

3. Collective: internal/external interactions

You share client feedback and best practices with your colleagues from different departments to better meet expectations and implement collective improvement actions.

You are proactive in animations and commercial actions within your scope of responsibility.

4. Transmission / Knowledge

You transmit your knowledge in terms of product knowledge, assortments, and trade gestures to your team of sales advisors and commercial team members.

You are the reference for butchery product expertise and you monitor, analyze your performance indicators.
