AV Engineer

We’re hiring an AV Engineer for an onsite role in Irvine, CA with a global technology organization known for innovation and excellence in collaboration solutions. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic technical team and support high-visibility projects within a professional corporate environment. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity, working onsite 5 days per week.

As an AV Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, quality, and efficiency of all audio-visual and video conferencing systems. You’ll manage incidents, support executive-level users, and maintain AV/VC hardware to meet business and end-user needs.

AV Engineer Responsibilities:

• Manage, track, and resolve assigned incidents and requests through the ticketing system.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of video conferencing services.
• Provide executive-level support for real-time communication and call-quality issues.
• Prepare and maintain AV/VC environments to meet business needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV/VC system issues; escalate as necessary.
• Oversee and manage AV projects of varying sizes and complexities.
• Perform AV repairs, upgrades, and new installations.
• Maintain technical proficiency in videoconferencing and collaboration tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV-related hardware and software issues.
• Manage AV inventory, including commissioning and decommissioning of equipment.
• Create and maintain documentation for AV environments.

AV Engineer Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience supporting video conferencing equipment.
• 2+ years of experience with web-cast and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting Mac and Windows systems in AV environments.
• 2+ years of experience providing executive-level support.
• Strong understanding of technologies such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco, and Logitech VC equipment.
• Deep knowledge of AV technologies and IT systems.
• Experience with spreadsheets, documentation, and presentation tools for technical documentation.
• AV integration and deployment experience.

*Eligibility requires working over 30 hours per week on an assignment lasting at least 10 weeks.
