Job Summary

The primary function of the BIM Manager is to lead the integration of virtual design and construction technologies to enhance project delivery and collaboration across all stakeholders, ensuring the successful execution of projects through their lifecycle. The BIM Manager serves as the technical expert for the project team, ensuring that BIM processes are effectively utilised to meet Universal standards and expectations. The BIM Manager acts as the liaison between the project team, design, construction, and other stakeholders, while also ensuring effective coordination, collaboration, and delivery of a high-quality, on-time, and on-budget project.

Must Have

  • Lead the implementing of BIM processes and standards.
  • Manage access to the BIM database.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact regarding Universal Creative’s BIM standards and processes.
  • Partner with architects, engineers, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate BIM tools into project workflows.
  • Facilitate coordination and resolve conflicts early in the design and construction phases.
  • Lead training initiatives for project teams and stakeholders on VDC/BIM tools and technologies.
  • Proactively identify and report risks related to design and construction phases.
  • Leverage BIM tools such as clash detection to analyse potential issues.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all BIM deliverables meet required standards, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, or any construction-related field.
  • Proficient in Autodesk’s Revit and Autodesk Navisworks.
  • Solid understanding of Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Extensive experience in Building Information Management (BIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) or related field.
  • Prior experience in a BIM/VDC leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in managing VDC processes (BIM, 3D modeling, clash detection).
  • Experience in themed entertainment or other large-scale, complex projects.

  • Master’s degree in architecture or related field.
  • Registered architect or engineer.
  • BIM Manager Certification.
  • Autodesk Certified Professional.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the BIM Manager is to lead the integration of virtual design and construction technologies to enhance project delivery and collaboration across all stakeholders, ensuring the successful execution of projects through their lifecycle. The BIM Manager, serves as the technical expert for the project team, ensuring that BIM processes are effectively utilised to meet Universal standards and expectations. The BIM Manager acts as the liaison between the project team, design, construction, and other stakeholders, while also ensuring effective coordination, collaboration, and delivery of a high-quality, on-time, and on-budget project.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Development: Lead the implementing of BIM processes and standards. This includes managing access to the BIM database to ensure that all design and construction activities align with project goals and objectives.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact regarding Universal Creative’s BIM standards and processes for the project team, ensuring that the project outcomes reflect the vision, goals, and requirements of Universal Creative.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Partner with architects, engineers, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate BIM tools into project workflows, facilitate coordination, and resolve conflicts early in the design and construction phases.
  • Training & Support: Lead training initiatives for project teams and stakeholders on VDC/BIM tools and technologies, promoting effective adoption and usage throughout the project.
  • Risk Mitigation and Reporting: Proactively identify and report risks related to design and construction phases, leveraging BIM tools such as clash detection to analyse potential issues and collaborate with project teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all BIM deliverables, such as models, drawings, and simulations, meet the required standards and are accurate and reliable.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, or any construction-related field required.
  • Master’s degree in architecture or related field is preferred.
  • Registered architect or engineer would be a plus.
  • Certification (e.g., BIM Manager Certification), BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) or construction management is highly preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk’s Revit and Autodesk Navisworks.
  • Solid understanding of Autodesk Construction Cloud as a collaborative tool for project coordination and management.

EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience in Building Information Management (BIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) or related field required. Prior experience in a BIM/VDC leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in managing VDC processes, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D modeling, clash detection, across a range of project types (e.g., commercial, theme park, industrial, infrastructure).
  • Experience in themed entertainment or other large-scale, complex projects is required.
