Job Summary

Studio Ellipsis, Portugal's newest AAA studio, is looking for a visionary Concept Artist to create a diverse cast of characters for our new PC-first, cross-platform PvEvP game. This role requires the artist to bring the characters to life and ensure they match the game’s unique visual style, creating both characters and environments. A bonus would be someone who enjoys slightly darker themes, since we are making a horror game, but without sacrificing artistic playfulness.

Must Have

  • Excellent knowledge of character design and anatomy.
  • Proclivity for expressive shapes and being able to apply different levels of stylization.
  • Excellent understanding of composition.
  • Interest in functional design
  • Experience and interest in creating environment concepts and collaborating with level design.
  • Proficient in using 3D software in their pipeline, such as Blender, Zbrush, or Unreal engine
  • Experience shipping games, preferably AA/AAA

Overview:

When we take into account all the future work that will have to be completed, we are in need of a fairly universal concept artist, who can create both characters and environments, but potentially leaning slightly more towards characters. A bonus would be someone who enjoys slightly darker themes, since we are making a horror game, but without sacrificing artistic playfulness.
