Thales is a global leader in high technologies specializing in three sectors: Defense & Security, Aeronautics & Space, and Cyber & Digital. It develops products and solutions that contribute to a safer, more environmentally friendly, and more inclusive world. The Group invests nearly 4 billion euros per year in Research & Development, particularly in key innovation areas such as AI, cybersecurity, quantum, cloud technologies, and 6G. Thales has nearly 81,000 employees in 68 countries.
By joining us in Meyreuil, near Aix-en-Provence, you will integrate a site that brings together all integrated circuit design activities for digital identity and security.
You will join the digital design team responsible for the design of IP and platforms in the field of security and automotive.
We want to improve our Design For Test (DFT) techniques for our future RISC-V and other proprietary CPU-based platforms.
The objective of this internship is to evaluate and develop LBIST (Logic Built-in Self Tests) solutions adapted to the requirements of secure systems in an automotive environment.
The study focuses on the analysis of the state of the art, implementation, test coverage, as well as LBIST execution time in the context of secure embedded circuits.
You will conduct simulation and functional validation work to optimize LBIST integration into architectures respecting the normative and industrial constraints specific to the automotive sector. This approach aims to strengthen testability and reliability, while ensuring the security and robustness of the circuits.
This mission allows you to familiarize yourself with RTL description languages, develop python scripts, practice TCL implementation flows (front-end synthesis) and understand the industrialization constraints of a product.
Your priority is to obtain a 6-month internship at bac+5 level in the field of microelectronics and embedded systems.
You have experience in:
Digital simulation tools (Synopsys, Cadence…), digital synthesis tools (Design Compiler) and scan insertion as well as basics in error detection code theory are appreciated.
Are your curiosity, autonomy, analytical mind, rigor, adaptability and communication recognized assets?
Then this position is for you!
Within a stimulating work environment, you will be supported by experienced people to successfully carry out your studies and functional validations.
You will develop your skills in digital electronics, while participating in major projects with strong industrial challenges.
This internship is an excellent opportunity to combine technical rigor, innovation and collaborative work to contribute to the security of future automotive systems.
All our internships are regulated and subject to remuneration, the amount of which is determined according to your level of study.
