BlueBolt is seeking a Digital Matte Painter to join their growing team, providing the opportunity to work on exciting upcoming projects. Responsibilities include reporting to Lead DMP, Head of 3D, and VFX Supervisors, working collaboratively, and following briefs. The role requires quick learning and logical troubleshooting. BlueBolt is an award-winning visual effects company specializing in compositing, computer graphics, and digital matte painting for film and television productions.
Must have:
  • Experience in feature film or equivalent facility
  • Proficiency in Digital Matte Painting using Photoshop
  • Experience setting up DMP projection cameras and geo in Maya/Nuke
  • Proficient in polygon modeling and UV layouts in Maya
  • Good knowledge of texturing using Photoshop/Mari
Good to have:
  • Additional knowledge of Lighting, FX techniques

Job Details

BlueBolt is looking for a Digital Matte Painter to join its talented and growing team.

This role will give you the opportunity to work on an exciting range of upcoming projects.

Skills/experience:

  • Experience of working in a ‘feature film’ or equivalent high end facility

  • Experience and proficiency in Digital Matte Painting techniques using Photoshop

  • Must have experience of setting up DMP projection cameras and geo in Maya and or Nuke

  • Proficient in polygon modelling and creating UV layouts in Maya

  • Good working knowledge of texturing using Photoshop or Mari

  • Additional knowledge of Lighting, FX, techniques are an advantage.

This role will require you to:

  • Report to the Lead DMP, Head of 3D and VFX Supervisors

  • Be team orientated, motivated and able to follow a brief

  • Be able to learn quickly and troubleshoot logically.
