Job Description

This role is for a District Technical Manager in the Central Midwest, reporting to the Hospital Patient Monitoring District Services Director. The manager will lead technical teams, overseeing the delivery of implementation, adoption, optimization, and professional services within the region. Key responsibilities include ensuring project scope, delivery according to contract, and maintaining profitability. The role involves significant travel (up to 75%) to customer sites and Philips offices.

  • Directs teams to ensure project scope is defined according to quote, customer expectations, needs all while ensuring the solution and/or services promised can be delivered, serviced, and remains profitable.
  • Directs teams to ensure customer projects and programs are delivered according to the contract obligations and project commitments, such as agreed timing, project cost and margin.
  • Ensure teams provide up-to-date transparency to the status of the project, including delivery dates with risks and opportunities identified and project costs.
  • Works with the District Services Director, the District Clinical Manager and Project Managers to ensure all standard & quality processes are followed and executed in the system of record.
  • Travel up to 75% by car, air, or train to customer sites (hospital/medical environment), Philips offices, or other locations for meetings, training, and other business needs.
  • 5+ years of direct leadership experience in healthcare services or equipment sales.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing a profit/loss business ideally in the technical space.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Business or Engineering.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to generate growth in revenue; ability to create competitive strategies and plans.
  • Proven ability to manage field personnel performance.
  • Ability to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements.
  • Reside in or within commuting distance to the district (Iowa, Minnesota or Missouri).
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment.

Job Description

This role reports to the Hospital Patient Monitoring District Services Director providing people-management, leadership, strategic guidance and direction of technical team members.

Your role:

  • Responsible for the delivery of implementation, adoption, optimization and professional services function within the region.
  • Directs teams to ensure project scope is defined according to quote, customer expectations, needs all while ensuring the solution and/or services promised can be delivered, serviced, and remains profitable.
  • Directs teams to ensure customer projects and programs are delivered according to the contract obligations and project commitments, such as agreed timing, project cost and margin; but also ensure teams provide up-to-date transparency to the status of the project, including delivery dates with risks and opportunities identified and project costs.
  • Works with the District Services Director, the District Clinical Manager and Project Managers to ensure all standard & quality processes are followed and executed in the system of record (success plans, quarterly reviews, KPI setting, milestones, documentation, time writing, resource management, etc.)
  • Travel up to 75% by car, air, or train to customer sites (hospital/medical environment), offices, or other locations for meetings, training, and other business needs. Frequent overnight stays are required.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 5+ years of direct leadership experience in healthcare services or equipment sales.
  • Your skills include 3+ years’ experience managing a profit/loss business ideally in the technical space.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, in Health Science, Business or Engineering.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Iowa or Missouri is $106,875 to $171,000 annually.

The pay range for this position in Minnesota is $112,500 to $180,000 annually.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
