Job Description

The NXP 'Radio Firmware' team develops embedded software for NFC and UWB components in mobile devices and connected objects. This internship project aims to evaluate the potential of generative AI models (LLMs and SLMs) integrated into agentic architectures to automate complex tasks related to firmware code analysis. The objective is to explore and compare different agentic AI solutions for automated firmware code analysis, assessing their ability to detect bugs, generate tests, produce documentation, and propose relevant improvements, thereby enhancing quality, productivity, and reliability.
Good To Have:
  • Curiosity
  • Critical thinking
  • Autonomy
Must Have:
  • Define objective evaluation criteria (precision, latency, cost, maintainability…)
  • Compare several AI models (GPT-4 vs lighter models)
  • Implement agentic workflows for tasks like code analysis, test generation, technical documentation, compliance verification
  • Validate approaches on real Firmware code cases
  • Explore integration into development tools (CI/CD, code review)
  • Programming skills (Python, C…)
