Job Summary

This Field Engineering Intern role is within the System Integration & Services team, which develops, models, and tests radio frequency transmission systems, public safety communication, and video systems. The intern will provide field support for LMR systems and Cybersecurity products, performing installations, documentation, optimization, and testing procedures. Responsibilities also include working with Project Engineers and Managers, conducting acceptance tests, generating system documentation, and supporting technical analysis of system faults.

Must Have

  • Field Support on deployment of LMR systems and Cybersecurity product
  • Work with Project Engineers to perform installation, documentation and optimization/test procedures
  • Work closely with Engineering Project Manager/Program Manager to manage customer’s expectations, contract deliverables and project goals
  • Prepare and perform Factory Acceptance Test and System Acceptance Test with customers
  • Generate system installation and As-Built documentation
  • Conduct system optimization and system acceptance with customers
  • Support technical analysis and investigation of system faults

Good to Have

  • Knowledge in managing projects for design, implementation and system acceptance of telecommunication and RF projects
  • Knowledge or experience in the cybersecurity discipline

Job Description

System Integration & Services team that develops, models, and tests radio frequency transmission systems, public safety communication and video systems. The team works with multi-disciplinary teams responsible for integrated product designs and solutions to meet the customer needs.

  • Field Support on deployment of LMR systems and Cybersecurity product.
  • Work with Project Engineers to perform installation, documentation and optimization/test procedures.
  • Work closely with Engineering Project Manager/Program Manager to manage customer’s expectations, contract deliverables and project goals.
  • Prepare and perform Factory Acceptance Test and System Acceptance Test with customers.

Basic Requirements

  • Have Knowledge on Cybersecurity Principles & Telecommunication Technology.
  • Knowledge in managing projects for design, implementation and system acceptance of telecommunication and RF projects will be an advantage.
  • Networking knowledge for IP planning and design, router/switch troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Knowledge or experience in the cybersecurity discipline is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and be able to work and coordinate across various groups and functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
