Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer at Philips, you will join the Swedish service organization for Precision Diagnostics and Image Guided Therapy. Your primary responsibility will be to support IGT, CT, and Ultrasound systems in the Västra Götaland, Värmland, Halland, and Jönköping regions. This involves executing service activities such as preventative maintenance, emergency service, faultfinding, upgrades, installations, and modifications, ensuring adherence to Philips' quality standards. You will also be responsible for accurate service records and timely submission of administrative tasks, acting as a key liaison with customers on technical and administrative matters.
Must Have:
  • Relevant educational background in medical/electrical engineering or similar.
  • Experience in field service, preferably within a hospital environment.
  • Good at identifying and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Independent and service-minded with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Understanding of mechanical contexts within functions and technical systems.
  • Structured, organized mindset with a high level of personal integrity and self-discipline.
  • Fluent written and verbal English and Swedish language.
  • Swedish B Driving license and willingness to travel.

Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you will become part of a leading company in the Healthtech industry and be a vital part of our Swedish service organization for Precision Diagnostics and Image Guided Therapy (PD & IGT).

Your main focus will be on supporting our systems within Image Guided Therapy (IGT), Computed Thomography (CT) and Ultrasound within regions of Västra Götaland, Värmland, Halland and Region Jönköping.

Your role:

  • Executing service activities such as regular preventative maintenance (PM), emergency service (CM), faultfinding, upgrades, installations and modifications, according to the relevant Philips’ quality standard policies
  • To have a holistic view of the system and it´s functional environment, with an eye for functions from both a technical and user perspective.
  • Responsible for completeness and accuracy of service records with particular attention to test & verification results
  • Timely and accurate submission of service data, job sheets, field problem reports and other relevant administrative tasks as assigned
  • Responsible for using appropriate measurement equipment (electronic and analog) in a regular controlled cycle of calibration.
  • Report customer feedback and follow-up relevant assigned quality & regulatory training in a timely manner.
  • Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters.
