Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer for Precision Diagnostics in Finland, you will support Magnetic Resonance and Ultrasound systems, primarily in Turku. Your responsibilities include preventative maintenance, emergency service, faultfinding, upgrades, installations, and modifications, ensuring adherence to Philips’ quality standards. You will also manage service records, report customer feedback, and act as a liaison between the company and customers, identifying business opportunities.
Good To Have:
  • Proficiency in Swedish.
  • Good at identifying and maintaining customer relationships and related contacts.
  • Independent and service-minded with a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
Must Have:

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of service records.
  • Relevant educational background within medical/electrical engineering.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience within field service within a hospital environment.
  • Fluent communication skills in both English and Finnish.
  • Valid class B driving license with a willingness to travel.

Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a vital part of our Finnish service organization for Precision Diagnostics. Your main focus will be on supporting our systems within Magnetic Resonance and Ultrasound, primarily in Turku and around Finland.

Your role:

  • Execute service activities such as preventative maintenance, emergency service, faultfinding, upgrades, installations, and modifications in accordance with Philips’ quality standard policies while maintaining a holistic view of systems and their functional environment from both technical and user perspectives
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of service records with a focus on test & verification results and adhere to good documentation practices, submitting service data, field problem reports, and other administrative tasks promptly
  • Utilize appropriate measurement equipment in a regular controlled calibration cycle and report customer feedback, following up on quality and regulatory training as required
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and customers on administrative and technical matters to foster strong relationships.
  • Identify business opportunities that enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to positive margin outcomes

You're the right fit if you have:

  • Relevant educational background within medical/electrical engineering – or similar
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience within field service within a hospital environment
  • Good at identifying and maintaining customer relationships and related contacts
  • Independent and service-minded with a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Fluent communication skills in both in English and Finnish, with proficiency in Swedish being an advantage
  • Valid class B driving license with a willingness to travel
