Job Description

This role involves the installation, commissioning, and upgrades of systems in X-ray diagnostics. Responsibilities include performing maintenance, safety checks, and corrective maintenance both remotely and on-site. The technician will conduct independent fault analysis, make decisions on appropriate measures considering clinical, technical, and economic aspects, and maintain professional communication with customers. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams, support for IT/network issues, virtual guidance for colleagues, and active participation in small projects. All service activities must be meticulously documented according to quality and compliance guidelines.
Good To Have:
  • Ideally further training in medical technology (e.g., TS Medical Technology)
  • Professional experience in technical field service or medical technology is an advantage
Must Have:
  • Completed technical or electronic basic training (e.g., electromechanic, electrician, electronics technician, machine mechanic)
  • Good knowledge of computer, digital, and network technology
  • Very good English skills, fluent German
  • Strong customer orientation, independence, and professional demeanor
  • High flexibility, commitment, and enjoyment of changing tasks
  • High willingness to travel (Switzerland-wide, >90%) and willingness to work on call and weekends

Your Job

  • Installation, commissioning, and upgrades of systems in X-ray diagnostics
  • Performing maintenance, safety checks, and corrective maintenance (remote and on-site)
  • Independent fault analysis and decision-making on appropriate measures, considering clinical, technical, and economic aspects
  • Professional communication with customers – especially in escalation cases – and close collaboration with internal interfaces (sales, project management, remote service)
  • Support for IT/network issues, including connecting third-party systems
  • Virtual guidance of colleagues for repairs and system changes
  • Active participation in small projects such as system relocations, station upgrades, or new installations
  • Complete documentation of all service activities according to quality and compliance guidelines

You should bring the following:

  • Completed technical or electronic basic training (e.g., electromechanic, electrician, electronics technician, machine mechanic)
  • Ideally further training in medical technology (e.g., TS Medical Technology)
