Job Summary

As a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager at FICO, you will support compliance with ASC 606 revenue standards, perform contract reviews, and document revenue recognition positions. You will also prepare audit confirmations, manage revenue key controls, and conduct periodic studies on Standalone Selling Price. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop deal structures, supporting monthly revenue close, and providing financial reporting to senior management. You will contribute to internal trainings and assist with additional accounting/finance projects.

Must Have

  • Support FICO’s compliance with revenue standard, ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with customers
  • Perform contract reviews to assess revenue recognition impacts and document revenue recognition positions
  • Author and update whitepaper and revenue accounting memos
  • Prepare quarterly audit confirmations and related-contract analysis
  • Manage and execute revenue key controls
  • Prepare and review periodic studies on Standalone Selling Price
  • Work with FP&A Sales Support, Legal, and Sales teams to develop deal structures
  • Support monthly revenue close, revenue audit, and various quarterly analysis
  • Provide senior management with financial reporting information and operational support
  • Support internal trainings to ensure consistency with Revenue Recognition policy and practices
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks related to Accounting/Finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related area required
  • Big 4 or corporate revenue accounting experience
  • Experience with or exposure to technical accounting responsibilities
  • Demonstrates ability to assess complex contracts against ASC 606 guidelines
  • Advanced in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experienced with ERP, Reporting and CRM systems
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with or exposure to preparing documentation and reporting for internal and external auditors and senior management
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment

What You’ll Contribute

  • Support FICO’s compliance with revenue standard, ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with customers, and various other related accounting guidance.
  • Perform contract reviews to assess revenue recognition impacts and document revenue recognition positions to support compliance with applicable authoritative literature.
  • Author and update whitepaper and revenue accounting memos.
  • Prepare quarterly audit confirmations and related-contract analysis.
  • Manage and execute revenue key controls.
  • Prepare and review periodic studies on Standalone Selling Price for various FICO products and services.
  • Work with FP&A Sales Support, Legal, and Sales teams to develop deal structures that accomplish customer objectives while yielding desired economics and accounting outcomes for FICO.
  • Support monthly revenue close, revenue audit, and various quarterly analysis.
  • Provide senior management with financial reporting information and operational support.
  • Support internal trainings to ensure consistency with Revenue Recognition policy and practices.
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks related to Accounting/Finance as needed.

What We’re Seeking

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related area required.
  • Big 4 or corporate revenue accounting experience.
  • Experience with or exposure to technical accounting responsibilities, including authoring whitepapers and accounting memos as well as documenting revenue recognition positions.
  • Demonstrates ability to assess complex contracts against ASC 606 guidelines, determine revenue recognition impacts, and make recommendations for the organization based on those findings.
  • Advanced in Excel (including formula, pivots, VLOOKUPs, charts) and Microsoft Office.
  • Experienced with ERP, Reporting and CRM systems.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with or exposure to preparing documentation and reporting for use by internal and external auditors and senior management
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Accounting, Sales and Legal).
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and cross-functional environmenCPA preferred.
