Key responsibilities include independently editing dialogue for game projects, performing tasks like dialogue design and mastering, working with timing constraints, importing audio files, troubleshooting audio issues, maintaining communication, and adhering to company procedures.

Job Details

The Freelance Audio Editor plays a key role in the Post Production pipeline. In this role you will need to complete technical and administrative tasks in a timely manner, while maintaining high quality and consistency. You will aid the Post Production team in meeting deadlines, completing milestones, and upholding SIDE’s high standards and expectations.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Independently edit dialogue for various game projects, ensuring high quality audio output.
  • Perform tasks such as editing dialogue, dialogue design and mastering, working with timing constraints, importing audio files into DAW sessions, and anything else to support the Post team with their technical needs.
  • Follow project-specific instructions exactly, to provide smooth ingestion of processed audio. • Troubleshoot audio issues and ensure all deliverables meet technical specifications.
  • Maintain strong communication with batch assignees, and report any issues that might impact progress or quality.
  • Clearly outline your availability to take on work, and keep your personal tracker up-to-date with availability information.
  • Adhere to company Security and Confidentiality procedures.
  • Understand ethical behaviour and business practices, and ensure that your behaviour is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organisation.
