The Head of Sales & Retail will build and scale Glitch’s sales, retail, and e-commerce ecosystem across all product categories — including plush, collectibles, apparel, books, and more.
This role will lead the company’s commercial rollout into major retailers, while also developing innovative direct-to-consumer and experiential retail strategies that connect fans around the world to Glitch IPs.
You’ll need a deep understanding of both retail and online sales ecosystems, with the ability to analyze consumer behavior and translate insights into actionable sales strategies. This role requires connecting Glitch’s marketing, product, and brand efforts to drive demand and engagement across all channels — from traditional retail partnerships to e-commerce platforms. You’ll be responsible for enhancing and optimizing our current online systems while expanding our retail footprint and ensuring every touchpoint converts fan interest into measurable growth.
Your duties will include:
Sales Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a multi-channel sales strategy across wholesale, specialty, independents, e-commerce, and events.
- Build and manage the sales department and lead Glitch’s global retail expansion.
- Oversee all aspects of sales and operation planning, including forecasting, pricing, margin management, and sales analytics.
- Build retail partnerships with major retail brands and manage existing relationships with external partners.
- Lead negotiations, account management, and retailer collaboration to maximize distribution and sell-through.
E-Commerce & DTC Operations
- Oversee direct-to-consumer and marketplace performance across Shopify, Amazon, and other digital storefronts.
- Optimize product listings, campaigns, pricing and merchandising to drive revenue and conversion.
- Establish and execute DTC/retail sales campaigns in collaboration with our Marketing team.
- Design and scale retail activations such as pop-ups, conventions, and flagship experiences.
- Represent Glitch at trade shows and industry events, building strong industry and partner relationships.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Product & Commercial Strategy
- Advise on product exclusivity and scarcity strategies to build collector behavior and fandom-driven demand.
- Drive a culture of data-informed decision making, using internal sales analytics to drive further growth.
A successful candidate will have:
- 8–12 years of experience in consumer products, toy, or pop-culture retail industries.
- Proven experience selling to major U.S. retailers and managing global distributor networks.
- Deep understanding of fandom, collectibles, and entertainment IP ecosystems.
- Strong commercial instincts across pricing, forecasting, and margin optimization.
- Track record of building and scaling sales operations in fast-paced or startup environments.
