Job Summary
The Human Resources Director will be responsible for planning, developing, and leading the implementation of HR policies, programs, and activities for GM Performance Power Units (GMPPU). This role ensures HR compliance with laws, aligns policies with company mission and culture, and advises the CEO and leadership on people-related strategies. The Director will also collaborate with TWG Motorsports’ centralized HR committees to develop best practices and drive employee engagement.
Must Have
- Develop and define a corporate culture for GMPPU promoting hard work, collaboration, performance, and satisfaction
- Advise the CEO and leadership team on people-related strategies
- Develop, implement, and champion HR policies, processes, and programs aligned with GMPPU’s objectives

- Oversee HR programs including compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recognition, and succession planning
- Develop best practices for hiring, training, talent development, and retention
- Support strategic staffing, recruiting, and retention goals in collaboration with senior management

- Develop and manage the departmental budget for HR operations
- Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends using HCMS data and metrics
- Develop HR KPIs in collaboration with department leaders
- Maintain current knowledge of HR trends, employment law, and best practices
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Coach senior management team through HR issues
- Monitor employee relations concerns and outcomes, ensuring consistency
- Participate and support TWG Motorsports’ HR committees for policy consistency and compliance
- Lead team to recruit, interview, hire, and train world-class candidates for the GMPPU Team
- Oversee team executing daily department workflow including talent acquisition, payroll, records management, and reporting
- Facilitate professional development, training, and certification opportunities for HR staff
- Perform constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Support promotion and discipline of employees in accordance with company policy

Job Description
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Director will plan, develop, and lead implementation of the policies, programs, and activities of the Human Resources (HR) function for GM Performance Power Units (GMPPU). This role will ensure HR policies are compliant with applicable laws and align with the company’s mission, culture, and talent strategy. The Director will serve as a key advisor to the CEO and leadership team on people-related strategies while collaborating closely with TWG Motorsports’ centralized HR committees to leverage and develop best practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Continue to develop / define a corporate culture that creates real competitive advantage for GMPPU, promoting hard work, collaboration, performance and personal satisfaction.
- Advise the CEO and leadership team on people-related strategies. Develop, implement and champion HR policies, processes, and programs that align with GMPPU’s operational and cultural objectives. Drive employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Oversee the development and administration of HR programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recognition and succession planning.
- Develop best practices for hiring, training, talent development and retention. Support strategic staffing, recruiting, and retention goals in collaboration with senior management. Advise on immigration and cross-border compliance.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget to ensure cost efficient HR operations and leveraging all permitted cost cap exclusions.
- Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends, utilizing HCMS data and metrics to inform leadership decisions. Develop HR KPI’s in collaboration with department leaders.
- Maintain current knowledge of HR trends, employment law, and best practices, and advise leadership accordingly.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review and adjust policies to maintain compliance.
- Coach senior management team through HR issues. Monitors employee relations concerns and outcomes, ensuring consistency, providing insights on how to keep employee interventions positive and consistent.
- Participate and support TWG Motorsports’ HR committees to ensure consistency in core policies, administration, compliance, and employee communication across shared systems and benefit platforms.
HR Department Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead team to recruit, interview, hire, and train world class candidates for the GMPPU Team
- Oversee team executing daily department workflow, including but not limited to talent acquisition, payroll, records management and reporting.
- Facilitate professional development, training, and certification opportunities for HR staff.
- Perform constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Support promotion and discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.

- Advanced understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of employment-related laws and HR best practices.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s or HR certification preferred).
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR/People Ops experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record of scaling People Operations in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
- Professional motorsport experience or other professional sports experience.
- Experience with HCMS, ATS, payroll, and benefits systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/talent management systems
- Preferred F1 or Motorsports HR Leadership
- Preferred experience with DayForce
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
- Position needs to occasionally move to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
