Job Summary
Kalypso Media Group, an independent publisher and developer of interactive entertainment software with over 170 employees across ten international locations, is seeking an HR Staff member for their HR team at Gaming Minds Paderborn. The role involves independent payroll, contract creation, being a key contact for HR queries, and managing personnel data and processes for the group's studios.
Must Have
- Independent payroll for all studios
- Creation of employment contracts and HR documents
- Contact person for HR questions for applicants, employees, and studio managers
- Communication with authorities and health insurance companies
- Management of personnel files and master data
- Processing of contractual claims (e.g., vacation, illness) and absence management
- Administration of working time accounts
- Preparation of employment references
- Administration of applicant management
- Successfully completed business administration studies or commercial apprenticeship
- Practical professional experience in HR with a focus on payroll
- Proficient in MS-Office and DATEV (Lodas)
- Very good German and English language skills

Job Description
The Kalypso Media Group is an independent publisher and developer of interactive entertainment software with more than 170 employees across a total of ten locations in Germany, England, France, the USA, and Japan. Four development studios belonging to the group in Germany, together with other international games developers, ensure a constant supply of new computer and video games for all modern premium platforms, such as the world-renowned "Tropico" series, "Commandos", or "Railway Empire".
As an reinforcement for our HR team in our subsidiary Gaming Minds Paderborn, we are looking for an HR Staff member (m/f/d) as soon as possible.
Your tasks:
- Independent payroll for all studios
- Creation of employment contracts, contract changes, and other HR-relevant documents
- Function as a contact person for HR questions for applicants, employees, studio managers, and supervisors of the Kalypso Group's studios
- Participation in special projects and HR process optimizations
- Communication with authorities, health insurance companies, and ensuring compliance with all reporting obligations
- Management of personnel files and maintenance of master data
- Processing of employment contract claims, such as vacation, illness, etc., and absence management
- Administration of working time accounts
- Preparation of employment references
- Administration of applicant management
Your profile:
- A successfully completed business administration degree or a completed commercial apprenticeship
- Practical professional experience in human resources with a focus on payroll
- Proficient in MS-Office and DATEV (Lodas)
- Careful and responsible way of working
- High degree of initiative and reliability
- Very good German and English language skills
- Goal-oriented way of working and strong communication skills
