Job Description

The Implant Equipment Technician will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment in the Chandler Fab Implant area. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, performing scheduled maintenance, and consumable changes. The role requires a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems, and strong problem-solving skills. Key challenges involve diagnosing equipment alarms, working in a high-volume environment with minimal direction, and using root-cause analysis for complex semiconductor toolset issues. The position requires working compressed shifts, days or nights, and adhering to safety protocols around hazardous chemicals.
Good To Have:
  • AA, AS, AAS degree in electronics or other mechanical discipline.
Must Have:
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment in Chandler Fab Implant area.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and consumable changes.
  • Solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied.
  • Understand and follow all safety protocols when working around hazardous chemicals.
  • Complete documentation and train others.
  • Work compressed shift, on days or nights.
  • Able to diagnose equipment alarms, read operational data and create action plans as needed.
  • Able to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment and sustain equipment with minimal direction.
  • Able to use root-cause problem-solving techniques to solve complex problems on Semiconductor toolsets.
  • Able to work in a cross-functional team.
  • Experience maintaining AMAT Varian E500HP, AMAT Quantum ULE, AMAT VIISTa HCP, Axcelis GSD.
  • Ability to Rebuild/Repair ION Sources, Flood Guns, Aperture Electrodes, Electromagnetic Energy Reflectors, Current PAEs, 3-Axis Electrodes, Reflectors.

Job Summary:

  • The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment in Chandler Fab Implant area.
  • The tasks include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of the area. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems and demonstrate problem-solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The candidate will be required to understand and follow all safety protocols when working around hazardous chemicals. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others.
  • The position requires working compressed shift, on days or nights.

Job Qualifications:

Education: AA, AS, AAS, in electronics or other mechanical discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.

Experience: The technician position is responsible for effectively executing tasks that are required to maintain Chandler Fab Implant toolsets including the following:

  • AMAT Varian E500HP
  • AMAT Quantum ULE
  • AMAT VIISTa HCP
  • Axcelis GSD
  • Rebuild/Repair:
  • ION Sources
  • Flood Guns
  • Aperture Electrodes
  • Electromagnetic Energy Reflectors
  • Current PAEs
  • 3-Axis Electrodes
  • Reflectors
