Job Summary
The Semiconductor Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Etch equipment in the Chandler Fab. This includes troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems, as well as performing consumable changes. The role requires a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, and FDC systems, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication. The position involves working compressed shifts and requires physical ability for tasks like stooping, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must Have
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Etch equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems.
- Perform consumable changes.
- Understand SPC, 5s, FDC systems.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Effectively communicate using written and verbal skills.
- Physically able to stand for long periods, stoop, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific knowledge of semiconductor maintenance job functions.
Good to Have
- AA, AS, AAS in electronics or other industrial engineering related discipline.
Job Description
The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in Chandler Fab Etch equipment area.
The technician position is responsible for effectively executing tasks that are required to maintain primarily the toolsets within the following types:
- Applied Materials Centura MxP/MxP+/SuperE
- Applied Materials DPS, DPS II
- LAM 4420/4520i
- ULVAC Enviro II, Optima
- Gasonics 3500 & PEP 3510 Ashers
- Axcelis/Fusion Gemini DUV Photostabilizers
- Applied Materials Metals Endura 5500’s and Centura 5200’s
The tasks include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of the area. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems, and demonstrate problem solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others.
The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.
The position requires working compressed shifts, job openings on either days or nights may be available.
Education:
AA, AS, AAS, in electronics or other industrial engineering related discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.
Experience:
Specific knowledge of semiconductor maintenance job functions is required.
