Job Summary
In the Visual department at BILD, designers, motion artists, and data journalists work together to make stories visually tangible. We develop graphics, maps, and interactive formats that clearly and impressively tell complex information. Our goal: a unified visual language across all platforms – print, online, and social. Must Have
- Develop editorial infographics to convey content visually concisely
- Design easily understandable graphics, maps, and diagrams from numbers, data, and facts
- Contribute own ideas and research for current and data-driven storytelling projects
- Conceive interactive and innovative formats for online, print, and social media
- Observe corporate design guidelines and usability aspects to ensure quality
- Work closely with editors, motion designers, and data experts to visually perfect stories
- Completed degree or training in graphic/communication design
- Experienced in creating infographics for editorial environments
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and ideally Figma or Flourish
- Good understanding of data and numbers to translate facts into storytelling
- Communicate in German and English

- First experiences in editorial handling of AI or openness and interest in AI topics

What you bring:
- you have a completed degree or training in graphic / communication design
- you are experienced in creating infographics for editorial environments
- your confident handling of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and ideally Figma or Flourish distinguishes you
- you bring a good understanding of data and numbers to translate facts into storytelling
- you communicate in German and English
- you have gained initial experience in the editorial use of AI or bring openness and interest in AI topics
