Job Summary

Morning Brew Inc. is seeking an Associate Account Executive for Lifestyle brands to join their Brand Partnerships team in New York, NY. This hybrid role involves full-cycle sales, from prospecting and pitching to closing and growing relationships with executive-level marketers at high-growth consumer and lifestyle brands. The ideal candidate will have 2-8 years of sales experience, a passion for digital media, and the ability to create tailored campaigns that align with client goals and leverage Morning Brew's ecosystem.

Must Have

  • Proven experience prospecting, pitching, closing, and growing business relationships with executive-level marketers.
  • Ability to proactively identify target B2C customers and build tailored recommendations.
  • Experience and interest in building out target lead lists and creating custom outreach strategies.
  • Ability to tirelessly ask questions and learn about prospective clients and their needs to creatively build campaigns.
  • Managing a full-cycle sales pipeline from initial prospecting to renewing and upselling.
  • Collaborating across internal teams (AM, Creative, Pricing/Packaging, Editorial).
  • Maintaining accurate CRM data, including customer/prospect details, pipeline activity, and forecast updates.
  • 2–8 years of experience in a consumer/lifestyle-focused sales role, including at least 2 years of closing experience.
  • Experience negotiating, closing, and managing six-figure contracts with executive-level buyers and agencies.
  • Ability to track, forecast, and report on key pacing and performance metrics.
  • Strong familiarity with digital advertising performance metrics, audience reach and engagement data, ad pricing metrics.
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ambitious, resilient, and driven self-starter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a self-starter with a strong bias to action and proven experience prospecting, pitching, closing, and growing business relationships with executive-level marketers at high-growth consumer and lifestyle brands.

This individual should have a passion for digital media and the ability to proactively identify target B2C customers, tirelessly ask questions to learn about their marketing and growth needs, and build tailored recommendations based on those needs that leverage all appropriate aspects of the Morning Brew ecosystem.

This is not a typical sales role. Just as we provide the best daily consumer lifestyle experience to our readers, we work tirelessly to understand the marketing goals of our advertisers and develop creative and tailored campaigns that WOW our brand partners without jeopardizing the quality of our voice and brand.

Our positions are remote hybrid; however, we have a strong preference for employees who can work from our HQ in NYC.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Hunting/Prospecting: As a growing team, the opportunities for partner expansion are endless, we just have to chase them down. Our ideal candidate will have experience and interest in building out target lead lists using a variety of datapoints and creating custom outreach strategies to get them in the room.
  • Value Selling/Pitching: This candidate will work across our consumer and lifestyle brands and have a wide range of advertising products and placements in their toolkit. It is the job of our team to tirelessly ask questions and learn about our prospective clients and their needs to creatively build campaigns that align with their goals and drive meaningful results.
  • Managing a full-cycle sales pipeline from initial prospecting and qualifying to pitching and closing, and then ultimately renewing and upselling your dedicated book of business.
  • Collaborating across internal teams (AM, Creative, Pricing/Packaging, Editorial) to build best-in-class media plans that help our clients meet and exceed their goals and help our team meet and exceed our revenue goals.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM data, including customer/prospect details, pipeline activity, and forecast updates, and proactively sharing customer feedback with the leadership team.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 2–8 years of experience in a consumer/lifestyle-focused sales role, including at least 2 years of closing experience, preferably in adtech, martech, or media
  • Experience negotiating, closing, and managing six-figure contracts with executive-level buyers and agencies
  • Ability to track, forecast, and report on key pacing and performance metrics to ensure you hit your goals and support overall team success
  • Strong familiarity with digital advertising performance metrics, audience reach and engagement data, ad pricing metrics, and other data points used throughout the sales process
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills – teamwork makes the dream work!

COMPENSATION $70,000–$90,000 base DOE + commission **Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.

What started as a small on-campus email has since evolved into a multi-channel media company that operates 20+ unique content franchises.
