Java Technical Lead

Responsibilities:

As a Java Tech Lead, you will embody leadership by example in a role tailored for a seasoned technical expert. Your primary responsibilities include shaping up and sharing technical guidelines, as well as introducing innovative technical tools for our feature delivery-focused R&D teams. This dynamic position requires a continual commitment to content delivery practices and hands-on experience. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving technical excellence, ensuring seamless collaboration, and addressing critical issues for the success of our feature-focused R&D initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical alignment within the Group:

• Follow and implement development guidelines and technical standards for service development.
• Supervise feature development on all phases of feature projects.
• Work closely with the architect team to ensure our services follow architectural guidelines and standards.
• Foster collaboration with R&D departments for a comprehensive overview of available resources.

Development of strategic solutions:

• Gain deep understanding of existing features infrastructure and available tooling to identify gaps and enhancements.
• Introduce "core feature" components to streamline the delivery process across multiple features.
• Develop and integrate back-end technical instruments, including POCs.

Focus on technical backlog and crucial technical investments:

• Identify problematic approaches/solutions during project supervision.
• Collaborate with R&D management to prioritize technical backlog of the group based on your technical experience.
• Work closely with architecture team to identify technical alternatives available within the company.

Production Incidents handling and support:

• Swiftly address and route issues to the appropriate service Gatekeepers.

Conduct high-level investigations or detailed examinations of issues in emergency cases or during low GK availability

Requirements:

Deep knowledge Java Core, strong awareness of current web development standards and frameworks (e.g. Spring Framework, Spring Cloud)  

• 7+ years as a Java Developer
• Experience with messaging systems
• Knowledge of resiliency, caching  
• Experience with Microservices  
• Designing of highly available and scalable systems  
• A mastery of object-oriented design, design patterns, and software design best practices  
• Proficiency at understanding an existing codebase, learning from it, and documenting/explaining when needed  
• English Upper-Intermediate
