Job Summary

WSP Mexico is seeking a Junior Modeler to join the Property & Building team in Puebla. The ideal candidate will support 3D modeling and BIM coordination for multidisciplinary projects (architecture and MEPFP/LV) for the United States, ensuring the quality of models and deliverables. Responsibilities include 3D modeling with Autodesk Revit, processing point cloud files, preparing AutoCAD files for MEP design, applying markups, resolving Revit/AutoCAD issues, ensuring quality, coordinating BIM with US teams, reporting progress, and maintaining model integrity.

Must Have

  • Model in 3D using Autodesk Revit for architecture and MEPFP/LV disciplines.
  • Process and deliver 3D point cloud files.
  • Prepare AutoCAD files for MEP design processes.
  • Apply markups in English to generate, correct, or improve plans, diagrams, and details.
  • Solve problems related to Revit, AutoCAD models, and MEP processes.
  • Follow processes to ensure the quality of models and deliverables.
  • Support BIM communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams in Mexico and the USA.
  • Educate and guide the team when errors are identified and help resolve them.
  • Report progress and development of assigned project activities.
  • Maintain the integrity, health, and backup of models, files, and plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Minimum B1 English (written and spoken communication).
  • 1 year of experience in architecture or engineering-related areas.
  • Experience in small-scale projects meeting specific client requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Basic-intermediate knowledge of model coordination and interference detection.
  • Experience in BIM processes and standards.
  • Basic proficiency in technical writing, spreadsheets, and digital tools.

About this opportunity:

At WSP Mexico, we are looking for a Junior Modeler to join our Property & Building team in our offices in Puebla.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting 3D modeling and BIM coordination of multidisciplinary projects (architecture and MEPFP/LV) for the United States, ensuring the quality of models and deliverable documentation, working collaboratively with teams in Mexico and the USA.

Responsibilities:

Modeling and documentation:

  • Model in 3D using Autodesk Revit for architecture and MEPFP and LV disciplines.
  • Process and deliver 3D point cloud files.
  • Prepare AutoCAD files for MEP design processes.

Interpretation and corrections:

  • Apply markups in English to generate, correct, or improve plans, diagrams, and details.
  • Solve problems related to Revit, AutoCAD models, and MEP processes.

Quality and coordination:

  • Follow processes that ensure the quality of models and deliverables.
  • Support BIM communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams in Mexico and the USA.
  • Educate and guide the team when errors are identified and help resolve them.

Management and reporting:

  • Report progress and development of activities in assigned projects.
  • Maintain the integrity, health, and backup of models, files, and plans.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

Languages: Minimum B1 English (written and spoken communication).

Additional training: Course in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD (desirable).

Experience:

  • 1 year in architecture or engineering-related areas.
  • Experience in small-scale projects meeting specific client requirements.

Technical skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Basic-intermediate knowledge of model coordination and interference detection.
  • Experience in BIM processes and standards.
  • Basic proficiency in technical writing, spreadsheets, and digital tools.
