Lead 2D Animator

We are seeking a Lead 2D Animator to oversee visual quality, guide artistic direction, and mentor the team. This role involves updating animation production pipelines, defining quality standards, managing the animation team, and collaborating with cross-functional departments on the Hero Wars: Dominion Era project.

Must Have

• Updating animation production pipelines and documenting all changes in guidelines
• Defining animation quality standards, production timelines, and ensuring their adherence
• Managing and developing the animation team
• Collaborating with cross-functional departments on the project
• Strong proficiency in Unity
• Deep expertise in Spine: skeletal animation, effects, mesh, skinning
• Experience creating and polishing UI animations, transitions, pop-ups, and similar elements
• 2–3+ years of experience working on game projects
• Skills in team management, planning, and deadline control
• Ability to dive into technical issues and find practical solutions
• Strong process-structuring skills
• Ability to clearly explain complex concepts and support the team
• Initiative in documenting, describing, and sharing knowledge
• Ability to set up processes and adapt them to the project’s needs

Good to Have

• Experience with Adobe Animate
• Experience with complex projects featuring unconventional technical architectures

• 2–3+ years of experience working on game projects
• Experience with Adobe Animate - a significant advantage
• Skills in team management, planning, and deadline control
• Ability to dive into technical issues and find practical solutions
• Strong process-structuring skills: from organizing folders and scenes to building pipelines and communication flows
• Ability to clearly explain complex concepts and support the team (in a mentorship format rather than authoritative management)
• Initiative in documenting, describing, and sharing knowledge
• Ability to set up processes and adapt them to the project’s needs
