As a Manager, Government Sales at Canva, you will lead and coach a team of Enterprise Account Executives focusing on Government, Healthcare, and Nonprofit accounts across North America. Your role involves driving revenue growth in regulated industries, leveraging deep U.S. Government sales experience, and elevating customer trust. You will build best-in-class operating rhythms, hire and develop strong Enterprise talent, and partner cross-functionally to ensure disciplined execution and exceptional customer outcomes.
Must Have
- Driving revenue growth across regulated industries
- Leading and coaching a team of Enterprise AEs
- Accelerating Canva Enterprise adoption in complex, compliance-driven environments
- Direct and recent experience leading sales into U.S. Government (Federal and/or State & Local)
- Guiding AEs through public sector procurement rules and budget cycles
- Extending Canva’s reputation for exceptional user experience into regulated industries
- Coaching AEs to partner effectively with IT/security, procurement, and program leaders
- Establishing clear processes, cadences, and expectations for disciplined execution
- Strengthening performance management, enablement, and coaching frameworks
- Recruiting, developing, and retaining Enterprise sellers for GHNFP
- Providing structure and clarity for early-career AEs
- Collaborating deeply with Legal, Security, Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Support, Product, and Marketing
- Championing compliance, procurement, and risk alignment
- 3+ years of proven success managing individual sellers in Enterprise SaaS
- Strong experience negotiating with government entities and deep knowledge of government procurement
- Experience coaching early-career AEs
- Ability to sustain a strong rhythm of business and consistent sales execution
- Managing a rigorous forecast and coaching deal qualification/progression
- Depth in coaching outbound sales strategy
- Understanding public sector, healthcare network, and nonprofit procurement complexities

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, and Austin, Texas is our North America Sales Headquarters. This role supports the GHNFP vertical across the entire North America region.
What you’ll be doing in this role
As Canva continues to scale, change will always be part of our DNA. Here’s a flavour of the work you’ll take on — with the understanding that GHNFP evolves quickly alongside Government, Healthcare, and Nonprofit needs:
- Driving revenue growth across regulated industries
- Lead and coach a team of Enterprise AEs covering Government, Healthcare, and Nonprofit accounts across North America.
- Accelerate Canva Enterprise adoption in highly complex, compliance-driven environments with significant variation in procurement, risk posture, and contracting requirements.
- Leveraging deep U.S. Government experience
- Bring direct and recent experience leading sales into U.S. Government — Federal and/or State & Local.
- Guide AEs through procurement rules, statutory requirements, budget cycles, competitive processes, offline purchasing pathways, and multi-layered oversight found in public sector environments.
- Elevating customer trust and enthusiasm
- Extend Canva’s reputation for exceptional user experience into regulated industries.
- Coach AEs to partner effectively with IT/security teams, procurement officials, program leaders, and executive sponsors across GHNFP.
- Building a best-in-class operating rhythm for GHNFP
- Establish clear processes, cadences, and expectations that reinforce disciplined execution: pipeline development, deal inspection, forecasting, outbound strategy, and cross-functional partnership.
- Strengthen performance management, enablement, and coaching frameworks that support both accountability and internal mobility.
- Hiring and developing strong Enterprise talent
- Recruit, develop, and retain Enterprise sellers who can succeed in GHNFP’s unique operating environment.
- Provide structure, confidence, and clarity for early-career AEs as they grow into enterprise-ready sellers.
- Partnering across Canva
- Collaborate deeply with Legal, Security, Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Support, Product, and Marketing.
- Champion compliance, procurement, and risk alignment essential to GHNFP customer success.
- Tools we use
- Salesforce, SalesLoft, Pocus, Gong, Govspend, and other enterprise systems built to support rigor in regulated industries.
You are a match if…
- You have 3+ years of proven success managing individual sellers in Enterprise SaaS, including complex and regulated sales motions.
- You have direct and recent experience leading U.S. Government sales—Federal, State & Local, or both.
- You have strong experience negotiating with government entities and deep knowledge of government procurement regulations and policy.
- You have experience coaching early-career AEs and developing them into confident, capable enterprise sellers.
- You know how to sustain a strong rhythm of business and consistent sales execution, including structured weekly cadences, disciplined pipeline practices, and clarity around operational excellence.
- You manage a rigorous forecast and excel at coaching deal qualification, deal control, inspection, and progression from 0–100%.
- You bring depth in coaching outbound sales strategy, including building repeatable, high-quality outbound motions across GHNFP accounts.
- You understand the unique complexities of public sector, healthcare network, and nonprofit procurement environments.
- You simplify complex concepts and turn them into clear, actionable guidance.
- You are a self-starter—accessible, collaborative, and grounded in high trust and accountability.
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and consistently drive clarity, focus, and results.
- You bring humility, curiosity, and a strong desire to continually improve.
About the team
The mission of the North America GHNFP Coach is to ensure we have the people, practices, and strategy in place to bring Canva Enterprise to regulated industries across Government, Healthcare, and Nonprofit. You will report into Public Sector leadership, partnering closely with teams across Legal, Security, Deal Desk, Operations, Product, and Customer Success to drive disciplined execution and exceptional customer outcomes.
