This role, reporting to the Director of Product Engineering, is vital for achieving development goals. The Manager of Product Engineering will lead a sizable team of software engineers, providing expert guidance in solving complex technical challenges, ensuring quality standards, and fostering professional growth. The role involves planning, delivery, agile process, culture, mentorship, and career progression, collaborating with product management, technical leads, and architects to deliver high-quality functional enhancements.

Must Have

  • Evidence of live software developed and released under supervision in the past two years.
  • Strong people management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with Continuous Delivery to the Cloud and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring, Python, Vue JS, Oracle, Couchbase, GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins.
  • Competent in presenting technical and business information to various audiences.
  • Experience in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Reporting to the Director of Product Engineering, this role is vital for achieving our development goals. The candidate must possess strong management, technical, and communication skills to collaborate with product management on defining and delivering our products. We seek a high-energy Manager of Product Engineering with experience in scalable SaaS healthcare products. This hands-on role will work closely with the director, agile coach, architects, and engineers to drive product development.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you are responsible for planning, delivery, agile process, culture, mentorship, and career progression. You must align with Technical Leads, Architects, and product experts to ensure high-quality functional enhancements and well-designed solutions to technical and functional issues are delivered on time. You act to impact the achievement of product and company objectives positively.

  • Collaborate with other teams and functions to facilitate seamless integration and successful product launches.
  • Plan and schedule work within the team, ensuring efficient resource utilization and meeting project timelines.
  • Monitor development processes, framework adoption, and project progress to ensure efficiency and compliance with standards.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
  • Bringing more than 14 years of comprehensive leadership and team management expertise.
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with leadership responsibilities.
  • 8+ years of experience managing a team, preferably in an Agile setting.
  • Evidence of live software developed and released under supervision in the past two years.

  • Experience with Continuous Delivery to the Cloud and best practices around developer experience, continuous deployment, and feature flag management.

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MA, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA: $145,500 - $203,900
