Manager, SaaS Delivery

Sitecore is seeking an experienced Lead Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive automation solutions for SaaS products. This role involves architecting scalable automation frameworks, managing a team of engineers, and delivering robust, self-service provisioning capabilities. Key responsibilities include developing enterprise-wide automation roadmaps, designing frameworks for multi-tenant SaaS environments, implementing IaC solutions with Terraform, and building CI/CD pipelines. The manager will also focus on SaaS-specific automation like customer tenant provisioning and scaling solutions, while leading and mentoring a team and optimizing provisioning workflows.

Must Have

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide automation roadmaps aligned with business objectives
• Design comprehensive automation frameworks for multi-tenant SaaS environments
• Establish automation standards, best practices, and governance models
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment (Rundeck & Github actions or Jenkins)
• Create custom automation scripts using Python, Go, or PowerShell

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years experience in automation engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering
• 1+ years in leadership roles managing technical teams
• Expert-level proficiency in AWS, Azure
• Advanced experience with Terraform and Ansible
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with Github Actions, Jenkins, Rundeck, Azure Devops
• Understanding of multi-tenancy and microservices architecture patterns
• Experience with API design and management (REST, GraphQL, API gateways)
• Experience with Database provisioning automation (SQL and NoSQL)
• Understanding of data isolation and security requirements
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
• Strong project management skills with Agile methodologies

About the Role:

The role of an experienced Lead Automation Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive automation solutions for SaaS products. This role requires a developer leader who can architect scalable automation frameworks while managing a team of engineers to deliver robust, self-service provisioning capabilities.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Leadership & Architecture

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide automation roadmaps aligned with business objectives
• Design comprehensive automation frameworks for multi-tenant SaaS environments
• Establish automation standards, best practices, and governance models
• Ensure all provisioning processes maintain security and compliance requirements
• Lead digital transformation initiatives for SaaS product delivery automations

Technical Implementation & Development

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment (Rundeck & Github actions or Jenkins)
• Create custom automation scripts using Python, Go, or PowerShell
• Architect solutions on Azure
• Build automated rollback and disaster recovery capabilities

SaaS-Specific Automation Solutions

• Create automated customer tenant provisioning workflows
• Implement database schema creation and application configuration automation
• Develop automated scaling solutions based on usage patterns and demand forecasting
• Build APIs for service provisioning
• Design security boundary establishment and multi-tenant isolation automation

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a small team of automation engineers
• Provide technical direction and professional development opportunities

Education & Experience

• 5+ years experience in automation engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering
• 1+ years in leadership roles managing technical teams
