A Marketing Intern at Rebellion will collaborate with experienced professionals to build practical skills and contribute to real projects at their Oxford headquarters. The role involves day-to-day channel operations, content creation for short-form video and live streams, identifying cultural trends, engaging with communities, supporting campaign delivery, assisting with social listening and performance reporting, and curating content across web, blog, and newsletters. This opportunity is exclusively for undergraduate students from Wadham and St John’s Colleges at the University of Oxford.

This opportunity is open exclusively to undergraduate students from Wadham and St John’s Colleges at the University of Oxford. Applicants must be available from 6 July to 28 August, with applications due by Sunday, 18 January.
For 30 years we’ve been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but the company is more than just games. We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.
As a Marketing Intern, you’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, build practical skills, and contribute to real projects at our creative and relaxed headquarters along the riverside.

What you’ll do
- Contribute to day-to-day channel operations: content calendars, drafting copy, scheduling posts, and basic asset prep for a range of social media platforms.
- Help create and plan video content for our short-form spaces, and live stream prep.
- Identify and predict cultural tends and social conversation shifts in order to support the company’s social output.
- Engage with our communities: moderate comments, surface insights and sentiment, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Support campaign delivery: help build briefs, publish beats, coordinate approvals, and track tasks in Jira/Confluence.
- Assist with social listening, competitor scans, and weekly performance reporting (reach, engagement, CTR, watch time).
- Help curate and repurpose content across web, blog and newsletters; maintain asset libraries and brand guidelines.
Requirements
- Internships are exclusively accessible to undergraduate students from Wadham and St John's Colleges at Oxford University.
- Available for attendance from 6 July – 28 August.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms; familiarity with trends, hashtags, and algorithm behaviour
- Demonstrated interest in pop culture, memes, and online communities and an ability to translate cultural relevance into engaging content.
- Content creation skills including video editing, graphic design, photography, or copywriting. Proficiency with tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar is a plus.
- Analytical mindset, ability to review engagement metrics and suggest improvements for content performance.
- Right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
