Job Description

As a Material Handler for Rolls-Royce's On-Wing Services business, you will manage tool inventory, handle shipping and receiving of aircraft engine parts, and ensure compliance with export controls and documentation like FAA 8130-3 and EASA Form 1. Responsibilities include SAP inventory management, vendor coordination for parts and tooling, and providing 24-hour service support. This onsite role in Indianapolis, IN, requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and adherence to safety standards.

Must Have:
  • Maintain tool inventory control.
  • Handle shipping and receiving of aircraft engine parts and tooling management.
  • Ensure proper documents and export controls are adhered to.
  • Inspect aircraft parts for damage and ensure FAA 8130-3 and EASA Form 1 accuracy.
  • Manage inventory in SAP.
  • Work with vendors to get quotes for the purchase and repair of parts and tooling.
  • Be available for 24-hour service support, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift engine components or tooling up to 30 pounds and 70 pounds with assistance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED with 3+ years of shipping and receiving, aviation related and/or manufacturing logistics experience, OR Associates degree with 2+ years of shipping and receiving, aviation and/or manufacturing logistics experience.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
  • Successfully complete a FAA/DOT pre-employment background check and a FAA/DOT drug screen.
  • Comply with FAA-mandated rules on drug and alcohol use.

Working Pattern: Onsite, 1st shift

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN & Greenfield, IN

As the Material Handler, you will work with the materials and tooling team supporting the On-Wing Services business Civil Aerospace.

What you will be doing:

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED (General Educational Development) with 3+ years of shipping and receiving, aviation related and/or manufacturing logistics experience, OR
  • Associates degree with 2+ years of shipping and receiving, aviation and/or manufacturing logistics experience
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
  • This position is a FAA designated safety-sensitive position. Selected candidate must successfully complete a FAA/DOT pre-employment background check, a FAA/DOT drug screen that tests for the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine and Amphetamines (or metabolites of those drugs), and comply with FAA-mandated rules on drug and alcohol use.
